strange man on Condado

Just be aware 

There is a blonde haired (possibly Dutch) guy usualy dressed in white, who wanders around site begging for a smoke from who ever he can get one from.

If you give him one he will come back for more and even try to help himself to your fags if you say no.

We have watched him even peek into properties that have external canopies searching for anything on offer.

He may well be harmless but you never know.

I see Shampers has arrived on site

Hope someone has reported him to PW before he 'helps himself' to our telly's

I will be there on Sunday  and I don;t smoke . Is this a dig at shampers or is there a strange man on site !!

 I saw the same guy the day I was leaving. It was around 10am and he looked high as a kite, just assumed he was getting home from a party!! Makes you wonder how he got on the site in the first place!!

I know who this guy is - he lives on Jardine 2 with his mother but I'm not sure what is the matter with him.  The day we arrived for the first time he was hunched down lighting a cigarette in the car park area and when I said a cheery 'hello' he asked if I knew 'Tsunami' in very broken english.  He begs for ciggies from the spanish workmen which really ticked me off as they are probably too afraid to refuse 'a customer' and his mother could hear him and didn't stop him. I do think he is harmless but he did unnerve me once during my visit. My sister arrived to stay for a weekend and we sat on the front terrace drinking until quite late one night - my sister smokes.  The next day the 'bloke' came up to the terrace of our second floor apartment looking for a cigarette. I told him I don't smoke which is true but he pointed into the apartment saying 'cigarette, cigarette'  - so he had watched us the night before.  I held my ground but had to be quite stern with him before he would leave.  
My sister is the guardian of my Downs Syndrome brother and was quite shocked that his mother would ignore this kind of behaviour  - can't she just buy him some cigarettes, he loooks old enough to smoke?

I have decided that next time I'm there if he does it again, I'm going to have a quite word with his Mum  - I completely understand that he may not be very aware of his actions or that they are not quite appropriate and who knows what difficulties he had but she should be aware if its becoming an issue.

I know who he is now !
He's Norwegian and I've seen him with his mum in the Supermarket. I saw his Norwegian driving licence on the counter. And I've seen him in Jardine 2 also.

GREAT..... Is one of my neighbours in Jardine 2, a chain smoking, peeping Tom, thief, Mummy's boy,who wears white clothes, who's maybe not quite right, from Norway..... Is that not the stereotypical check list, for a possible serial killer? Are we sure his Mother is still alive, maybe that's why she didn't say anything when he was begging for cigarettes, because she died a while ago and he's keeping her in her favourite chair on the sun terrace and dressing up as her at night...... I probably mustn't make light of it, he's probably harmless and his Mother can only deal with him now, by letting him have his own way..... But there must be something badly wrong with him, if he's trying to sponge cigarettes off UK & Ireland citizens and we gotta pay £6 for a box of 20..... Might be best not to encourage him by giving him cigarettes if you do smoke and he'll hopefully get the message after a while..... If he annoys me much, I might buy a carton of cigarettes and rip them all in half in front of him.... Hopefully it'll work its self out....

You can get cigarettes that explode in the joke shop that might help. He'd have some explaining to do in the dry cleaners.

Hi all,
We are in garden 2 and have met your chain smoking serial killer as he and his mum are in the same garden. He asked us for a fag when we were there and we obliged and had a chat with them, he is mentally ill but very harmless and his mum is alive and quite interesting if you give her a chance. Don't worry about them to much as they only intend to stay there for a few months per year as they spend time with her other son who lives in London and also do some travelling.

This guy is perfectly harmless, although he's not all there...   On the plus side, anyone fancying a laugh should get yourself down to Jardin 2 and watch him when he swims in the pool, It's priceless...


I think he actually might be from Jardin 1 (top corner).   We do have some standards in J2 you know..

I've a few mates in Jardine 5 that will get on just swimmingly with him.... And some other mates in Jardine 1 for that matter, that will probably make him look normal.... I'm looking forward to seeing him.... I'm sure they are a lovely family....
