Ken and Irene are worried about proxy voting. They deserve a platform to be heard but it’s annoying to other people so let’s just use a different thread for those interested.
Read up in the community matters topic if you want to know what this is about.
My personal position is simple. I’m convinced that the proxy system we use so far (by PM/e-mail and hand written statements) is completely valid. We never had problems and our main opponent with a vested interest Arrohabitatge never claimed they were not valid.
The legal issue of yes/no instructions is a matter of semantics. Everyone you would trust with your proxy vote you will trust to carry out your instructions. Personally I always respected these to the letter and so did David.
Does it make sense to vote yes/no on agenda points like ‘approval of budget for next year” or ‘election of new committee members’ ? I don’t think so. If you want your voice really heard make clear what you really want like ‘more money to gardens’ or ‘ I only agree with a committee if x is on it’. Saying just no or yes to this kind of items makes your vote practically worthless.
As this topic already turned nasty by false accusations at my address I will refrain from further postings in it. Feel free however to discuss all worries about your proxies.
