Bougainvilla

I think we should pat ourselves on the back for all our patience and persistence.  The development looks wonderful judging by the photographs kindly submitted by all our friends. If it hadn't been for them I don't think we would have hung in this long.  Now that habitation has begun it's our opportunity to personalise the area.  Wouldn't it be lovely if in a few years time the harsh edges of CDP were softened to look like lush courtyards of Mogan in Gran Canaria.  See Calypso3 photographs on 11th February 2008 - 44349.  Has anyone any ideas on how we could irrigate the development to encourage growth.  I'm thinking of getting plants watered in people's absence so everybody's gardens are blooming.  Bougainvilla everywhere!

It was already nice to see Mavis and Bill (keen gardens) and their adjoining neighbours on North facing Phase 1 getting their flowers on display.
Can appreciate why the communal landscaping has not used grass in the central area's but it would have given a softer appearance - no doubt once the trees they have planted become more established it will look lovely.
In the developers complex near Murcia, they incorporated fountains - this again added to the feel of the place.
It is difficult when you are not there all the time to have plants thrive, but there is also watering systems which are fairly reasonable to install which can be considered.
Must log off before people get the impression we are keen gardeners!
