I'm NOT with Andersons but I am aware that an email is doing the rounds about changes taking place at Andersons. I do not know what these changes are (before anyone asks) but I would be interested to know if the changes have been brought on by changes to Huma which materially affect my chances of getting any money back through the courts.

Hi John

Not been on this site for a while.  Are you advocating Andersons as a good solicitor?  I think it's time we changed as nothing seems to get done with ours.  They are now telling us that even though we paid 1000 euros up front for legal services in March 2005 at the beginning of this debacle, they want a further 500 euros to execute a BG and a further 1000 euros when/if we receive the money under BG!  Has anyone else had this?  It is going to costs us 2,500 euros to get back some of the money that we gave to these solicitors in good faith to secure a villa for us which they haven't done and we will still be liable for the full legal fees!!!!  On top of all that we stand to lose another 39000 euros which is not covered by BG's.  I think it may be time to cut our loses and change.

Another one I heard of was PSI - anyone using them?

One more question - about how much does it cost to take Huma to court - anyone know?

We are paying just over 12,000 euros to take HUMA to court (50% paid up front).   Most of the fees are standard as set down by the spanish law society - they are based on how much you are claiming.

We are with Fusters and had sent money out up front for all fees plus approx a further 600 Euros,  we have just advised Fusters to cash in our Bank Guarantees for us and instructed them to take Huma to court for interest, deposit etc.  They have not asked us for any further money and are acting on the Bank Guarantees now.  We have been advised that it may take 2000 Euros to take Huma to court if they have to seize assets.  In view of the amount of cost and the profit we have made from when we changed our money to Euros approx 5 years ago to now, I feel this is well worth the money as Huma should not get away with this lightly.  We are lucky we only have the deposit to get back plus interest.
