burglaries

hi to everyone just to let you all know we appear to be having a few burglaries on sierra golf..the last one being a eagle on m20 ...please could everyone be more vigilant and if you see anything suspicious could you make everyone aware of it........dennis

The house was mine and there was security grills and they were locked, there seems to be more to this than meets the eye. I will tell people the facts once they become known, can I just publicly say a big thanks to Dennis who has helped me look into this and has been a great support with dealing with the Polcie etc.

I had hoped it had been an empty house which had not been handed over to anyone yet.

The fact that you had grills etc is also a worry, again Gazza I'm sorry to hear this happened to you and I hope you get it all resolved asap, well done Dennis.

Did you change the original locks from the builders when you took posession of your house?

The same again for the locks on the door grilles after fitting?

very sorry to here your news i thought we would all be leaving this type of stuff back in England, i hope you get to the bottom of it all and any help you need please let me know,  I specialise in Knee capping and castration for theives,  seroiusly we all need to pull together for this type of thing the one thing we have in strengh is solidarity.

hi all just a quick update on this problem  firstly its important for anyone who buys anything like tvs ect to take a note of the make and model along with the serial number of the item...in this case it appears that the masa snaggers needed to get into the eagle to do some snags on friday at the end of the day habi the usual worker got into his van whilst he thought the other was locking up ..as nobody could say weather he did or didnt the doors appeared to be left open and on friday night the tv and dvd player was stolen having tried with the chap in the office to involve the police he was very reluctant so i had to wait for marisca to phone them ....i contacted them again on monday and was told to go to torre pacheco police station i was also told they spoke english not true if anyone reports a burglary you will be expected to do it in spanish ..i wish to thank laura the young irish girl who lives on sierra golf she came with me but the police still need the serial numbers so we are going to try again tommorow .i will give all details later on this problem after hopefully the police accepting that it has happened with the issue of a crime number.............dennis 

As Dennis has filled you all in with what actually happened. I wont go over that again. But I would like to let everybody know the MASA response. I rang there helpline (thats a joke) on Monday morning, the young lady on the other end was extremly unhelpful, when I explianed what happened, she said it was not a MASA problem, the burglar could have got through the window, I told her I have got grills on all the windows so that was inpossible still "not a MASA problem". I told her that the grill door was missing and could only be removed if it was unlocked "not a MASA problem". The front door was still unlocked on Saturday morning and that the only keys for both the grill door and the front door were in MASAs possesion "not a MASA problem",  I asked her for details of MASAs insurance company she refused I asked to speak to her boss she refused. I understand that the BAS**** who was supossed to lock the doors has been removed from from site. Which is lucky for him!!! I think MASA have reached new heights with this one. I will ring again tomorrow but I think I know what the response will be "NOT A MASA PROBLEM".

If I remember correctly did MASA not give us all some kind of "free" insurance for the first year?

Don't know if this was buildings and contents or one or the other.

Sorry I can't be more specific but it just came to me and may be worth investigating!

hi gazza sorry about your ( breakin ) but we was out last week and the masa muppets opened the open show home next to sylvia n barry guess what numpteys left it open n sylvia had to fetch sales lady to lock up is there a theem runing here apparantly its the second time too might help in your not to fruitful negotiations with the masa its not my problem brigade reguards phil n denise

If I can echo the sentiments from everyone else regarding the burlgary, sorry to hear that this has happened

We are so sorry to hear of  your plight.

Masa do not instil customer relations, we had little faith when we left our keys with the office in Jan when we signed, we only had a few items in the house then,  and had highlighted some snagging which actually was never done. When we set up the house in April one of the first things we did was go and get the spare keys back.

We are grateful to those on site who do keep a look out for those of us who are non residents.
