In the real world builders pay commission for referials, it is common knowledge and practice, upwards of 10% depending on the work
There seems to be a few comments around about Amber on the forums but I cannot comment if they are true or not, perhaps started by competitors or clients
Only advice is as normal establish you are dealing with a get is legal, get multiple quotations and references before having any work done
Only pay a deposit, a reasonable amount to allow for the work to start, and the balance on completion and make sure that you have a contract agreeing the work and timescales for completion
All common sense advice
Make sure that if you are having extension built, conversions of underbuilds or pools built make sure that all of the necessary licences have been completed
