Penthouse COH Yet?

I was wondering if anyone in the Penthouses have had their COH (habitation certificate) yet?

We have a Mortgage approved but can't complete until the COH is in place and like most Mortgage offers, it's only valid for a short period. I've been told there is 1 man within Alhama Council issuing these and was wondering if he has been issuing them in Block order. We're in Block 16, hence my concern that we might be bottom of the pile.

We completed back in October, and nothing through yet.  Can't say I'm surprised, as like you say, I think it is one man on his own that's issuing these.  Not that bothered really as if I was I wouldn't have completed without it.  Can fully understand your prediciment though with the way the mortgage market is at the moment, you don't really wanting to be going back to square 1 if your offer runs out.

Hopefully the Town Hall will pull their fingers out and get them issued soon.

I had the same discussion with our solicitor yesterday  - to my amazement, the bank we are with,  "Bancaja"  will complete without a COH if they can have evidence that PW have applied for the COH (of  which I have a copy of and will send you directly) - the issue with this is my solictor says if you complete without a COH and anything goes wrong you are on your own !

In the next breath she tells me that Polaris are "claiming" the COH for the Penthouses wil be available in early/mid Jan  - so maybe another 4 weeks or so to wait ?

I will try and find out more when we are on site next week

I'm guessing no one has their COH for the Penthouses yet, which means I better ask PW if they can get our application up the pile a bit. Hopefully PW will do everything they can to reduce any potential problems and help us out. On the other hand, I'd rather get poked in the eye with a sharp stick than exchange a further £20k to Euros!!!!! Fingers and toes crossed the £ improves over the next few weeks.

Reading some of the other threads, its seems inspections for the COHs have been done for Los Naranjos penthouses blocks 1 to 4. I have an apartment in block 3. 

Assuming the certificates are issued within the next week or so, how long will Polaris World give before a purchaser has to complete?

It is just that my mortgage has lapsed and I will have to apply for a fresh one. I had one ready for September, when Polaris World insisted very firmly that I come to complete, only to be told at the last minute that they did not in fact have COHs.

I will now have to apply for a fresh mortgage. The last thing I want is Polaris World on my back pressurising me to do things quickly.
