Hi to everyone who's logging into this site. I found this by accident the other day at work and its been great reading all your messages. My husband John and my self (Sue) are buying plot 24. We came out in February this year on an inspection trip with Masa International. We nearly bought a property in Torevijca (obviously can't spell it), but on the last day decided to visit Balsicas - so glad we did. We came out again this October and stayed by the coast at Cabo Roig. We visited the site while we were there and had a wander around the village. Met the locals at the pub around the corner 'The Queen Mary' - the resemblance to an English pub stops there, when you go inside its a mix of Goudi 'pink mozeque tiles' and a cafe - but the people were so so friendly and looking forward to british people coming to the village, which is very encouaging. We also popped into the restuarant which again is only around the corner - we didn't stop to eat as it was full of all the workmen from the site. It looked very basic inside, but we are told the food is very good. We did a lot of driving while we were there and we are so close to 'everything'. Lo Pagan is a nice town by the Mar Menor and if you go to Los Alcantara there's a couple of restuarants called El Patio I & II (there's 4 in total but I think two are at Murcia). The one we went to was in a residential area of the town - the food is wonderful, can't wait to visit there again. Also drove down to Cartagana, this also looks a nice place although we didn't visit all of it - looking forward to travelling there on the train. We've been told our property will be ready in August '07 - but keeping our fingers crossed that it will be earlier.
