Water Bottles growing in Gardens

On my visits to Playa Golf I have noticed that some properties have bottles of water dotted about their gardens and on r3 there is a street where every front gate has a bottle of water. Some of these are obvioulsy to catch air conditioning condensate ands some are used as a drip feed to plants. However there are some properties where these bottles of water are arranged in a sort of ancient druid pattern like stone henge.

Could someone advise the reason please - i feel I am missing out on something.

Hi Gordon - I know what you mean - it looks so weird!!  My own personal theory is that it is something to do with keeping the cats out of people's gardens but I am not certain about that.

Any more theories??

Got to agree, they seem to be everywhere on Playa Golf and especially the newer R2 on Playa Golf 3...The idea is that they repel cats from using your gardens...Evidently cats don't like their own reflection !!   Seen a few cats around but have yet to see the water bottles making a difference..
