Coffee morning Monday 26th January, 10.30ish

Hello everybody, thought it would be a good idea to start a coffee morning up at Clubhouse beginning this coming Monday 26th, 10.30ish.  Would be nice for people to meet and get to know each other as it can be rather difficult at times.  Everyone welcome, hopefully there will be more than me shows up!  If it takes off, could become a regular meeting time for residents/owners.

Hello everybody

Just to say that the coffee morning was a resounding success!  I was expecting about 8 people and in fact at the last count 24 turned up!  It was lovely for all concerned to realise that Roda is not as remote as they thought.  There was a good mix of people from phases 1, 2 and 3 and everyone seemed to enjoy it and keen to return again each Monday if and when they can.  I believe a few people organised golf games between them as well as discussions on the local intertainment such as pub quizes, karaoke etc. It was also nice for people to get help with eg snagging or any problems they may be having with their properties.  Lets hope it continues. Thanks again to all who turned up.

Yes I'd like to agree with Angela's sentiments (regarding how succesful the coffee morning was), and also to thank her for her initiative and in actually taking the time to organise it in the first place.

My wife and myself certainly found it worthwhile, and those people we met very friendly.

Good work Angela! - Keep it up, since there's certainly a need for something like this, to occur on a regualr basis.  Hope to meet up again next Monday - same time, same place.

Just a brief comment as am still in the bar after an afternoons golf but it was great to see so many turn up at the first coffee morning considering advertising is not helped by Roda who seem unable to provide any useful noticeboards.

Good to see so many old faces and meet up with plenty of new ones.

Big thank you to Angela for getting it going, hopefully it can only expand and we will have to have different get togethers for different activities.

Power to the people of Roda is what I say .

I'm really pleased this was a success (even though I'm in foggy England as I write).  Regarding the notice boards hugh-man mentions, I think he has suggested a need for these before, would it be possible for these to be funded from community fees, I'm sure they wouldn't cost much and they would provide a much needed focal point for information at Roda.

Hi all at the coffee morning last Monday, both Julie and I enjoyed meeting everybody and look forward to seeing you all again soon. Sorry to Arun as we ran out of time to visit but we will meet up again next time. (Forgive me if I have done your name wrong but I did say I'm not good with names).

It seems to me that we all have the same gripes, ie the access from phase 3 to the clubhouse, the hotel and the lack of communication from Roda but on the whole happy we purchased our properties where we did. We must also remember that to resolve our problems with Roda, no matter how small, we will be far more successful as a group.

Just to say that the second week of the coffee morning was another success, there were even more people than last week which was a nice surprise.  At the last count over 30 people turned up.   I have had a word with Jose from the Clubhouse and hopefully next week the seating area in the centre of the room will be reserved.  Thanks again to all who came.
