Hi All,

There appears to be quite a number of investors based in Ireland. Would such individuals be interested in a meeting in a central location. I would think people from Belfast to Cork might be interested. Dublin would appear to be the obvious location for such a get together.

Lisa Mona appears to have arranged a very good meeting in England and it may possible to coordinate the approach to be taken.

Regards

Bob

Hi there

I have volunteers to co-ordinate various areas. If you're interested can you please e-mail me via the private forum at the private address I gave you and this can be organised. If you put it on here you'll only have to verify who owners are to keep things private and I have all those details.

Best Wishes

Lisa

Hi,

I was unable to go to the UK due to work commitments but would love to go to a group meeting in Ireland, and Dublin couldn't be better for me.

Will watch this thread with interest,

Gina

I'll throw my hat in the ring as well. Are you though referring to a general meeting just to discuss various issues or have you an action plan in mind?

Hi All,

Thank you to those of you who have responded to my initial posting about a meeting in Ireland. My motivation for the posting was to throw the question out there to see if there might be an interest as I'm sure that a meeting at a venue in England may not be convenient to many people in Ireland. I had not considered the matter beyond this.

I had suggested that Dublin might be a convenient location for a meeting although it would not be an absolute necessity that it be held there. I myself live in Cork which I would imagine would be just as inconvenient as a meeting place for people for example from Belfast.

As for myself I am not sure what to do as far as my Corvera investment (in Phase 2) is concerned. It seems that my options basically boil down to whether I want to "walk away" and lose about €80K or go ahead with a purchase of a property with a greatly reduced value for an inflated price. Not a nice choice. Somehow I cant see the option of chasing a return of the deposit monies as a realistic possibility.

As regards a get together is concerned I'm also not sure what we might achieve but other peoples take on the situation is always welcome.

The next question of course is would anybody be willing to take the initiative to organise such a meeting and also would the level of interest warrant the effort?

What are your thoughts folks.

Regards

Bob

Hi Bob,

I'm going over at the end of the month, I will suss out Estate Agents etc to see what property prices are like over there. We may not be able to get a mortgage if the banks are lending a percentage of the current market value and the property is no longer worth that percentage? I have all the info from the UK meeting and that along with some of Lisa's ideas give some valuable food for thought. I for one would have no problem asking her for her input in helping organising a meeting in Ireland which I would try to go about co-ordinating.

However I would rather wait until I get home from Corvera.

Meanwhile it's no harm to throw out a few feelers to see who else is interested in attending/co-ordinating etc.?

Crosser,

It seems from Lisa's posts that she has no problem keeping anyone part of her numbers up to date with any progress, even if like me if I didn't sign up with her solicitor. Maybe we could simply set up as the Irish branch of her team (Lisa permitting)? I'm open to whatever peole think. Whatever way we go, we should keep in touch with the other groups and assist each other as anything we all learn is mutually beneficial to everyone and 2 different/same groups working in the same direction and with the same objectives is better than one.

But I wouldn't be travelling to Cork, not with all the roads being blocked off by hurlers marching around trying to pick their own manager.

Hi Gina,

I agree that sussing out the property values in the current economic climate would be a fundamental step in peoples deliberation for a number of reasons. The property market is virtually stagnant here at the moment and I fear that the same applies in Spain so that values have nose-dived. I'd certainly appreciate hearing about your findings from your trip.

Both yourself and Frank acknowledge Lisa's efforts in England. No doubt she must have a great overview at this stage of all the issues and her ideas/suggestions should be very welcome. As far as a meeting is concerned I will be out of the country between the 7th and the 21st of March but should be able to attend a meeting on any other weekend date.

Hi Frank,

They dont call us rebels for nothin.

Regards

Bob

Just for info.

We went up to Corvera yesterday to see how its going and in just 2 months it is massivly improved. They said first release would be april/ may (this is why we went because we didnt believe it) and I can now believe it may be possible (town hall habitation license permitting). The street lights are in etc etc. There must have been 3 or 400 people working on the site which compared to all the other resorts in the area is very impressive.
