Although i do not know all the facts I am very dissapointed that a meeting was called at very short notice without full documentation going to all home owners on the Las kalendas Urbanization.
I understand the committee can only send out what the President wants or edits.
It would be good to hear your views

I too share your concerns about lack of info for residents. Non residents are getting more info than the rest of us!
We still have not had a copy of the statutes. I understand that the EGM voted to accept the town hall imposed statutes without even seeing them, just on the say so of the administrator. The meeting also mandated the administrator to negociate with the town hall over the non mandatory statutes, let us hope that we will see them before they too are accepted.
I suppose we must remember that we are still not yet a legal urbanisation and the committe as such is not yet legal and are viewed by many as a steering group. This may go some way to explain why we have not seen the minutes of last years AGM and have had very little information since then - not that I condone it!! Perhaps the next President will be more of a leader and less of a Dictator.

I agree Dennis
Our President is making a lot of decisions and not communicating it seems that she is owned by the developer, I hope that if she gets it wrong she will accept the legal back lash that she may get from residents.
Statutes should be voted on by the whole community once all snagging etc is complete and not before a lot of us have made the mistake of completing before all snagging is complete my property is a perfect example of this.
All communication should be visible in a democratic society and if it is not well the only thing is to withhold fees when it comes to being a community
I do not know the President but i have a feeling from all feedback heard that she is not popular and like you say a dictator.

The way these statutes have been explained to me is that they consist of two parts. The first being down to Spanish law on how the Urbanisation fits into local and national government etc. We have no say over this, but I for one would like to see what is expected of us. The second part is describing what the town hall will do for us and how much it will cost under the local (council) tax system. This is the part that the administrator wants to negociate with them and try to get a better deal - obviously the town is better equipped to do certain things that would cost us more as a urbanisation if we try to do it out of community funds. I'm not sure if the town hall will want to take on a major undertaking before they are certain it is finished.
The bigger battle as I see it is getting the developer to finish the urbanisation and get it to a suitable state (snag free!!) for us to take over as a community. I understand the EGM was told that the developer is trying to raise the funds to do this work, also at that time our water will go onto metered supplies as it's costing them an arm and a leg paying the water bills - am I bov vered?

Again until they finish the site they should pay for the water i think it will cost them a lot of money to alter everybodys original contract when they bought property.
Procumasa have an obligation and we should stand our ground. All rules seem to be broken by Procumasa.
