Hola all Las Dunas English owners that still read this forum.
Just returned after visiting Aguilas for the Carnival. Fantastic, stupendous, colourful, noisy, joyful and thoroughly worth going to see it.
I apologise if some of this latest info is already known to some owners.
1 The Commercial Centre at the entrance to Los Collados has not moved since late last year and no building work is being carried out. MyC financial constraints??
2) All the main roads through the complex have been resurfaced and whilst we were there they have been white lined with numerous zebra crossings, give way signs, parking areas etc. Yellow no parking lines are expected (Ha ha). A mini roundabout has been added adjacent to Oasis ( illuminated at night)
3)After a major leak the top pool has been emptied and tiles have been regrouted, there is still a large hole where the leak has been repaired. Jose at Gesisur says that there will be no chargeto owners as the pool is still under guarantee to MyC. It was being refilled prior to our leaving
4)The grass surrounding the top pool is full of weeds, the worse I have ever seen it, so has not been maintained. Again Jose says this will be rectified before the summer. One hopes!!
5)The Post Room is in a terrible mess mainly due to advertising garbage from Eroski and many individual boxes have vast amounts of mail in them. Including owners Electricity bills and contracts. Who is responsible for cleaning this area??
6)Council Tax is now due for 2007 & 2008 and is payable at the Townhall. Jose can advise. Pay by cash only. In our case 317e.
7)Iberdrola have fitted 25amp (5750watts) trips to each properties electricity panel. We had a problem in that as it was cold we had oil filled radiators on plus water heater and whilst cooking with oven and hob on it kept tripping. MyC not interested although their electrical diagram shows 40amp trips fitted. I have mentioned this to Jose and if enough owners complain he will try to get something done about it. The Spanish electricity is very expensive.!!
8)Major alterations to 2nd floor apt c in block 6 reported to Jose as the external fabric of the building as been altered, contrary to Community regulations. The community needs to get tough on this quickly or we will end up with disasters similar to the garden extension behind duplexes 20-25.
9)Lastly no change to the "Golf Course" although I took my copy of a Mar Y Casas prospectus which had a drawing showing details of the golf course included to Jose who photocopied it and said it may be useful in the future.
Best regardsto all and hope to see you at the AGM.
