just to make things clearer and after reading all the messages here im a little dissapointed in the response towards me as the president im trying to work through two sides ,the english want one thing and the spanish who do it another way,we are in spain!!!

as regards to the comunity fees being taken this month needed to happen or funds will run dry!  the new amount wont be able to be set untill the meeting on the 8 may 2009 (had to be this date as everyone was away at a particular time we picked and gives more notice) then if fees are lower then you payments will be ajusted, there is lack of communication between the administrator and myself ,im trying to resolve this as it makes me look stupid.

as for the play area it was discussed at the last meeting in october and unless yoy sent a proxy or attended the meeting unfortunatly you have no votes i hope more will turn up to this meeting.i dont have children but i think its a good idea to confine the children to one area and not running around the carparks?? and is a cost of 152 euros per dwelling!! and is out the community fees not extra payment. also the fees are very excessive i agree. i  do pay them too, and the most debters are NON resident english 98%.. but remember were paying for 2 communitys altea hills and jardines!! 33,500 euros for atea hills per anum 500 per dwelling take that off your fees and its normal .....ISH.

Good to have you involved here.

We've spoken to you a couple of times about the incredible lack of communication from the administrator and you have also commented on that. We now see that you have been "battling" this one for some time.

For our part we see communication between owners and community as the most pressing issue. (see our thread on Next Community Meeting).

In this age of blogs, threads etc, surely a way forward would be to have an "official" blog for notices so that any owner, at any time ,can log on and see what meetings are planned so they can decide what actions THEY need to take. We can't complain about owner's lack of involvement if they are not adequately informed. Obviously this would need to be in Spanish and probably English (most international language) as we suspect that maybe 50%+ owners are non-Spanish. But the owners decide that - NOT the administrator!

Our specific interest in non-bugeted spending is to ensure that the controls are there to ensure that the "communal buffer" is adequate and used appropriately. Not just in these times of financial crisis but always. If the president & committee have no controls then there is a future risk of funds being used inappropriately. Nothing personal just due diligence - this is the business side of joint ownership and should be treated as such. Get it right and everyone can relax about it.

The positive aspect of all this, is that these issues have arisen now, whilst the community is new and we have enough intelligent people to address them in a way that everyone feels "safe" that their assets and community are in good shape.

There are so many community horror stories on other parts of this site - surely with some care and consultation we can avoid all that?

I agree with Philip and Luc that we have enough intelligence between us all to make this thing work and that we need to pull together as a community in order to do this !

I am also aware that you have already put in lots of energy as go between and thank you for that.
