Hi, today is a local holiday as it's Día de la Vieja - Old Lady Day, have a look at my blog for the full story and photos of the giant paella - it was very good.
Annie's is open Monday afternoon from 1-5pm and closed all day Tuesday. As Richard says, if they are having a themed night they normal close about 4pm until 7.30pm to get the bar ready for the night's festivities as they are often still there at 3 in the morning. This Saturday night they are having a 60's/70's disco night - so if you are in the area pop in and have a boogie. There is no entry fee as Annie is not cooking food for the evening but there should be lots of good music to dance around your handbag to. Neil is dusting off his flares ready for some disco dancing!
I understand the Montesol is due to re-open at the end of the month and they are getting on well with the refurbishment and as far as I am told, it wil be a new menu and catering for all nationalities.
Delfin's has re-opened, La Venta is often quite lively as is Pepa's and life is returning to Terreros after a very quiet winter. Today the beach was very busy with families enjoying the day's holiday picnic-ing in the summer sun. It also looked as if all the Chiringhuita's were open today and I'd seen the tractors out on the beach yesterday tidying up after the deluge of a rainstorm a couple of weeks ago.
Having walked the dogs down to the Calas site yesterday, there is little evidence of any work having been restarted on a large scale. There is a little activity which I think is probably work on properties that people are ready to complete on. Phase 5 is still fenced off although you can access one side of Phase 5 north from the market carpark side, but I think that is open for access to Phase 4 south.
