Air Conditioning Units and Install

Good afternoon all - looking forward to completing shortly and finally getting our first glimpse first hand of Condado since summer 07.

I noticed a thread sometime ago about recommending someone to install the air conditioning-

Would someone be kind enough to recommend someone please.

We used Majestic air con who are based at La Manga, and would certainlt have no problems in recommending them.

You sent me an e-mail last week but sometimes we cannot open them.  We have noticed that people have had difficulty doing this via Eye on Spain.   Anyway thanks for the e-mail and what went unread in there!   Can yoyu e-mail me to let me know how much paid for Air Con and their concact  deails.  We dont't know whether to get Air  Con with hearing or to fork out and get radiators fitted.  Look forward to hearing from you.

just had ours fitted yesterday by gary from www.polaraircostablanca.com i am not there but my sister is, still one bedroom unit to install on monday but they are supposed to be very good panasonic units, also his price compared to most was very good and up to now the service is excellent, i will confirm when all fitted,  he was also recommended to us by other condadoians

What we are in a quandary about is to either get air con and  separate heating or air con with both cold/hot air.  We also need someone to tell us what they paid if anyone is happy to.

We got hot/cold aircon fitted by polarair.

We've used the hot aircon quite alot on a night over the winter - it's actually better than the radiators we've had fitted.

i have used him for 2 properties(1 in condado) and if silly things like washers go he has come round 2 years later and not charged.thats the only problem i have ever had.nice to get good after sales as well as best prices.

lots of other people have used him in condado

best thing to do is get the hot/cold aurcon.the so called cheap rads dont have thermostats so avoid them i have been informed by a friend in spain who bought them.said the air con if used sensibly with the smiley works out much better.gary will explain about the smiley(under the lid on the remote)

You won't be disappointed. We had ours installed by Gary in November and it was pretty nippy at the time. The heating mode warmed up the apartment in a very short time. No need to faff around with radiators all over the place. Gary does a very neat job and the panasonic units are top drawer.

Can't recommend him enough

Aircon wise we went with Polaris and their Samsung units- our son used them in Feb, so far so good. The only problem was that the PW fitters do not leave the remotes unless the owner is there, they took them back to the store. But when we enquired about them the store said they were at the site office- the site office knew nothing about them. Eventually Carol had to don her detective hat again in order to track them down. So if anyone else is considering using PW I'd ensure you know exactly whats happening as it would have been really easy for these things to get lost in transit.

We have found the radiators provide really good background heat. They were especially good in the bedrooms as can be left on very low. Plus Carol (keyholder) was able to put them on prior to our arrival in Oct and Dec which really helped the chill factor.

I used Louis Harris from Mazzaron. He charged and is still charging €1950 for 3 diatsu hot and cold fitted units (€650 per unit). qualified spark and genuine guy.

Hi there could you post the contact details for louis harris from Mazarron for the aircon/heating units as we need to get the best price possible as we were shafted by the agent who promised them as an incentive to sign and then decided he is now out of business, yet still marketing our old property for sale on his website!!
