We received the dreadful news that our two apts in Block 5, three bed ground floor and two bed lower penthouse has been broken into on Thuesday 24 March. They caused a lot of damage on trying to enter the apts. One front door damaged and three windows. The electric shutter would not open for them so they lifted a heavy stone and smashed the bedroom window which caused a lot of damage. They even had our remaining food from the cupboards packed to take with them. They seemed to just have got away with the flat screens. I think that big old TVs is what to have to be safe. Our cleaning lady who was checking seem to have disturb them. We are being told by her that all roads are now open including the back entrance.
Sorry having to tell this, but its better to know that the breakins are still going on.

Dear All,
sorry to hear the news, are you alone or are the negatives being posted elsewhere?
it is a far cry from the closed holiday complex it was supposed to be.
who is at fault?
Is it the developer, the agent, the public supervision, the lawyers?
or is the real culprit, the first one to complete knowing that all was not going to be provided?
did he or she think nothing matters, as I will be able to flog it on for a profit anyway.
Where does the blame really lie???
Regards
Norman

Blame ?
Dosent take a master mind. Its the thieving bas----ds who need their hands cut off.
For goodness sake. Does the developer and the buyer have to accept responsibilty for everything ? Many developments had security but had to stop as hundreds did not or could not complete leaving a shortage of funding as someone has to pay for it.
Communities need building when developments develop and mangements fees are available for security and everything else regarding the management of the properties. ITS ALL ABOUT THE LACK OF MONEY.
Had friends of mine stop off for a quick drink about a mile awy from their apartment on Majestic Hills last week,
In the short time they were in their the car was broken into and all their luggage stolen(Developers fault ?)
So sorry to hear your news Hazel. Sadly a sign of the times on many developments with lots of apartments unoccupied. Crime of this nature appear to be on the increase in the area where I live in the U.K.
Yes we need to let people know so thanks and try to work with others on the development to organise some sort of watch community membership with the limited funds the community has.Security cameras would be very good as that way they would probably move on to the next easier target.
Could think of other ideas but think I would be locked up.
Simon

Dear All,
"LACK OF MONEY"??????????
My contract for a spacious, highest luxury, closed holiday complex, front-line golf apartment, with every possible holiday facility was 425,000 euros.
From my limited knowledge of construction and land prices in the area, that was more than enough money to pay for the brochure promises, even without the building of extra blocks and less pools and no gardens.
So where has the money gone?
Who is to blame for the missing space, luxury, facilities, gardens, pools and security??????
Given the collection of crooks including lawyers that facilitated the fraud, there remains those owners who, for whatever reason, completed on the unsatisafactory purchase of a sub-standard product.
They are at fault and have let everyone else down as well as themselves. Shame on them.
Why???????????
Regards
Norman

After the news of our breakins we put word out. A couple of people out there had a look for us at what had happened. Both seemed to think that it could have been a inside job. If it was it is quite sickening as this person has looked after our apt for a cou;ple of years. This has been our second time round having had our flat screen taked. So do be careful who you gave your keys to if you own a flat screen TV. Thanks for the news Simon as this person also has access to Mafestic Hills.

Sadly all of the enclosed security cant allow for inside jobs which is in the main the real problem
Its those we trust and thats the vile thing about this .(Thats a real problem for Spain and the ex pats we all have trusted)
Last time I was out it was clear that someone had been sleeping in my bed (3 Bears and all that )
Its creepy and its who the hell do you trust. Have changed locks a total of 4 times as you get paranoid. Love the Country to bits but to reduce to these levels are the pits.

Dear All,
if the "break-in" was an inside job then all the damage was pure malice and why leave the food behind?
All very strange.
Unexplained "guests" seem to go with the terratory, many people report it.
It all gives the dream a bit of a battering.
Wasn't there supposed to be on-site sales, letting and security to manage the place?
Surely there is someone trading out there that can be trusted whilst you are away?
Good luck
Norman

For those that are not already aware, the Urbanisation are in the process of putting up gated fencing around each block. Having taken a walk around the complex this weekend it appear that the Blocks towards the bottom of the complex, past the refuse bins have already got some sort of electronic fob style security.
However, the ones being fitted around Blocks 29-31 are gates that require keys.
Appreciate that this does not stop 'insiders' faking break-ins....
Hope this info helps some of you..

The security gates onPM4 will be controlled with electronic fobs. The gate company just put the key locks in until the fobs were ready .It is a big coordination project. There is a go live date of 1st july when the gates will be officically up an running and access will be controlled electronically by the fobs. The fobs will be ready for colleaction from the Amex offices mid June. If a fob is lost it can be deactivated centrally replacememnt fobs can be purchased if originals lost. Notifican isonthe official PM4 google web site ,in the notice boards onsite and onthe gates. Any queries please contact the ammex office

I have just returned from CDS the site is looking fab its all thanks to Peter and his team. It was a terrible journey out for me as I had the task in front of me to enter my two apts that had been broken into. It turned out that the flat screens were stolen. In my three bedroom apt the window had been broken on the inside with my own hammer to fake a breakin. The penthouse had no damaged at all but a dirty foot print was put under the bedroom window again it was a fake. The police and security guard told me to change the locks as they said it was a inside job. There is only one person with my key on speaking to her she got rather angry which said a lot. She also left threating messages on my home phone. What I see now we just have no idea of who we are dealing with out there. As the police and the security say we may up fencing but if we give out keys and codes the problems will always remain. To make matters worst I was told by someone on the site that she had also stayed in my apt. On looking over my electric bills I could also see a pattern.
On on seeing the site much improve give me a great lift also chatting to some good friends that I have made there. Looking forward to going back out again.
Remember, love many, trust few, always paddle your own canoe.

Dear All,
cannot the good community work include a known and recommended management letting agent for all renters?
cannot the "mystery" renter identify the "agent" to the police?
cannot the forum help with recommendations?
good to not hear anymore of squatters.
Good luck.

Norman

Dear Hazel
I read your posting on break-ins. I have been renting on CDS since 1st May and visiting the site to see my in-laws for over 2 yrs, in fact that's why I'm now living here, it grew on me......and I could see improvements being made, however, security remains very poor in my opinion, as anyone can drive onto and off the development unchallenged...A barrier would make a huge difference, if only as a deterent and would also stop people coming onto the site to use the facilities....this happens every weekend.
Not much happens here without me seeing it ! as I spend most of my time at home & I also look out for anything suspicious....So, be assured that there is a little added security and that your neighbours are looking out for you...unfortunately the last break-in was not stopped...perhaps the next attempt on someones property will be less succesful.
