Hi Suzanne
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - just logged in amd saw your post. (Didn't get your email that you refer to)
First, you don't need a telephone line as the wifi signal is already there in the area. It's a matter of Brian from freewifspain doing a site survey at your apartment just to check you're getting a clear signal. Cost should be approx €150 to €200 for a hardwired connection, and a further €100 if you want a wireless wifi router installed.
We went for that version as it means the whole apartment and the terrace (maybe even down to the pool) is covered, plus you can use PDA's, wireless internet radios, and several other laptops that the rest of your family or friends can use all at the same time.
Installation is pretty quick - Brian will be able to let you know the time scale involved.
The only fly in the oitment is having it installed "officially" - Brian may need to gain access to the rooftop to install an arial (which serves at least one block).
To keep yourself on the right side, contact whoever your management company is and run it past them. If it's AEA it should be straightforward as they already know freewifispain and his work.
If you have any problems come back to me at wflem007@aol.com direct
Brian can be got at brian@freewifispain.com and 0034 685 472 172
I think there's half a dozen installations now at Coto Real, all working perfectly.
I'm hoping the Road at our end is nearly finished ! We were last over at end of May and they were making great progress then, all the hardcore had been laid. Next over Sept 09 and looking forward to seeing it finished !
Regards
Will
