tarmac road

I heard the road may be finished at the end of this month has anyone seen sighns of work there pls

I noticed there was a digger this morning on the bit of the road that goes up the hill towards Manilva.

Many thanks. I guess it was wishfull thinking expecting more than a digger. Does anyone know how long is the period approx  from when the licence is granted to completiom and obtaining the keys. Any news is appreciated

once the licence has been granted you can complete and get the keys in four weeks.   I wish they would get a move on and finish that road so that they can issue them.   And i know i keep saying this but havent you considered swapping apartments to one that has the licence granted like others have done Wilton?

I agree with Suzanne about swopping-it's easily done and doesn't cost any extra.Definately worth thinking about. I think it could be quite a long wait for the road dispute to get sorted.

I'll add my voice to that. If I were in the position of having to wait, knowing what I know, I'd be swapping apartments like a shot. Life's too short and there's a good time to be had out there right now.  Each time we go out, we discover more about the area. It's amazing really, because when I look back, we didn't know anything about Manilva or Sabbi, come to that. I realise how bad it could have all gone, on lots of different levels and I just feel very relieved. If I can feel like that in a recession, it's definitely saying something about the place. Wish I was going out this half-term but we're going at Easter and I thought I wouldn't want both. Mistake, I should have booked it. Margo

Many thanks for all the encouragement and good things about the area. I have already changed once to a corner top floor apt. and would like the same , firstly not sure if the lawyers woudl change again for me and secondly if there is a similar available.

Each day im hopeing to read that the tarmac has started.

If i go out for a couple of days any one renting for two days.

If you're talking about the road down the left-hand side, we called in the site office today and were told "this year",  whilst there's action there's clearly a lot still to be done ! As I understand only 6 blocks (including block 5 which is ours) have the licence and the road is what's holding up the rest. One pool full and nice and clean, two others look like they are being attended to (currently empty but with hoses in and leaves etc swept into pile).
