Hi Gerard,
Back in 2007 I suggested on this forum that a group such as you are now suggesting be formed to look after the areas of the Senorio Communities. I wish well with your efforts.
I speak very little Spanish and spends only about 10 weeks a year at my apartment but would be happy to asit you in any way I can.
What I can tell you is that at a recent committee meeting at La Recoleta a paper was given by Gomendio, which outlines their plans.
The Pitch and put is to be extended easterly \adding a further 6 holes.
A driving range with over 100 positions is to be built in the La Mosca area adjacent to the N332. (La Mosca is the area around Lidl)
Planning permission has been granted for a restaurant on the green area adjacent to the sea front more or less opposite Panorama Park. There will be a 200 sq meter inside area with a 100 sq meter glazed outdoor area. It will be run by the owners of the Sunrise restaurant, which is above super cor. (and apparently very nice). It was indicated that there will be a loyalty card issued to the residents of Señorio de Punta Prima.
Gomendio have obtained a licence to open a beach bar on Punta Prima point. (Work has started on it and it will be open until October) They have also applied for permission to run the beach bar which was on the sea front last year, permission is awaited.
Negotiations are taking place with the appropriate government body about the development of a new sandy beach. The negotiations are complicated because that area of sea is home to a rare type of sea algae which has to be protected.
A firm decision has not yet been made about a hotel on Punta Prima point. Unless an agreement with a hotel chain can be made, further apartments may be built.
I will be out 17th – 24th June, I would be happy to meet with you and talk some issues over.
Regards
