Damp/Mould in lounge

Hi,

I have just returned from my 3 bed ground floor apartment in Los Naranjos 2, and I have noticed on the big wall in the lounge near the kitchen, black mould/damp. My neighbour has had the same.

Has anyone else experienced this at all ? Have emailed PW this morning so awaiting a response.....whenever that will be!

There were numerous damp problems with the first phase especially last year which I believe was the result of the membrane on the outside steps failing.

It might pay to search for these threads to get further information on how it was dealt with.

I would also be intersted on what the cause is in your particular case to see if it's caused by something differant.

Hi Carla,

We in a 2 bed upstairs in N4. We had flood damage & damp as a result of blocked drainage on our terrace and the stairs up to the terrance not being sealed properly. It seems that the bulders may have forgotten things like the waterproof liner for the stairs in their hurry to finish so that may be what has caused your problem.

PW did sort it out PDQ but keep on at them and if you have a key holder ask them to confirm that the work is doen as PW have been known to close faults withourt fully rectifying the problem.
