Has anyone else had any problems with their boiler? We completed on our property on phase 4 last October. Every time we have visited the boiler has broken down. Peinsa are refusing to have anything to do with it. They say it is up to us to contact the suppliers. They have an English help line, but a very unhelpful lady answers and pretends she can't speak English. She then puts the phone down. On three occasions we have stayed in all day because they have promised to send a technician but nobody ever arrived. Now Patricia is telling us they will not send anyone unless we pay their travelling expenses. We are not prepared to send any money to repair a boiler that has never worked and is supposed to be under guarantee.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? We really dont know where to go from here. It is very difficult when we are in England. Surely this should be up to Peinsa to sort out not us. We would consider getting an independant plumber to have a look at it if anyone knows someone reliable. Any ideas please?

Our boiler is fine but on the last visit the pilot light was not on but a plumber came and lit it with a match it was fine after that and we were then there for 16 days with no more problems.

Our pilot light is on all the time but there doesn't seem to be any gas getting to it as if there is a blockage somewhere. It is probably only something small but is causing us so much stress. Last time we were there my teenage daughter took a friend and they weren't able to have a warm shower the whole week. Anyone with teenage daughters will understand how stressful that would be. Unfortunately we can't see the situation changing. We are at stale mate.

  Could be the thermocouple it sits in the flame of the pilot light and is linked to the main burner by a wire  its a  safety  device to prevent  the main burner opening if the pilot goes out  check this if you can , and is only a two minute job to replace,  its only a suggestion but dont ask me the spanish for thermocouple!     hope this helps  you Regards Paul.

Hi all

I dont profess to being a plumber but the ones ive seen on CDP dont have a pilot light?

They have an electronic ignition which is powered by 2x 'D' batteries in a compartment under the boiler.
They only light the gas when you run the hot tap?

Maybe stating the obvious but also check that the little black switch on the top of the gas regulator is in the 'flame' position.
