Air Conditioning

Not taken ownership yet but looking for advice.  Properties have aircon in living area and are pre-installed for bedrooms.  Assumed Polaris Homeworld would be the best people to extend it for us, so they are quoting for aircon in the bedrooms.  They have included 1 unit for each bedroom as expected.  However, they have also quoted for another compressor. Does anyone know if this is normal?  In my ignorance of these matters, I thought one compressor would do the job.

Note sure if you have an apartment or a townhouse/villa but as you say they have a single main unit in the lounge and compressor as standard....the apartments have this standard compressor located on the block roof and the townhouses/villa usually on one of the balconies. The pre-installation for both bedrooms in all properties is a separate set of ducting and therefore needs a separate compressor. For apartments this separate ducting will come out onto your terrace so the compressor will be there and for townhouse/villa usually next to the standard one.
