Hi Guys,
I was last in Condado de Alhama last September so looking at the photos of the town centre it looks like everything is on track as promised. Have been in Oz since but now back living in Switzerland so intend to be in Spain more often, have booked flights for October will golf courses be open then? How long a walk is it from Jardin 3 to the town centre? Are the shops expected to stay open right through the winter?
Can't wait to see eveything with my own two eyes but love the photos too!
Jaci

Hi Jaci,
Latest estimate for the golf course is November, but your guess is as good as mine if it makes it. It is progressing well, I think it's highly unlikely it will be ready in October though, but you never know.
Jardin 3 to Al Kasar is a brisk 15 minute I'd say.
As far as I know everthing will stay open all year round.
I think you'll see a big change from a year ago, most of it good. :)

Just back from 3 weeks over at Condado. Heard in the sales office golf course will be complete in December. Club house will be in Al Kazar and the holes renumbered accordingly.

3 weeks you lucky people.
Do you have any photo's of golf course and are the trees being water or still dying'ish, and have PW started clearing the weeds that seemed to be taking over during very early july?

We have also got back today from a 3 week stay, some good and some bad news to report, The weeds ect are growng fairly well and the trees are still in a 'dyish' state, there remains many red electric cables lying about the place and restaurants progressing slowly in my opinion, a bt dissapointed not atleast one open for main holiday period, a small push could have achieved this.
Al Kasar looks good albeit very quiet, empty and lacks atmosphere at present.
The course is progressing very well, would expect to see open end 2009.
Dont know when the clubhouse shall be commenced, the temporary one will be in Al Kasar (ANY NEWS FROM ANYONE ON THIS???) likewise El Oasis?????
Great Holiday, Port Mazzaron busier than ever and lots of atmosphere.

The Clover and the Supermarket are sporting a notice stating that all Naranjos including Penthouses wll be disconnected from the electricity supply pending connection to services commencing 13th August 2009. All Certfcates of Habitation have been issued apparantly and the process will be phased in over several days.
Real Bad timing for me as have people renting next week and they may be put out a little. I suppose the FREE services were good while tey lasted.

Hi,
Thats not such good news we're out again in October and was hoping for free amenities again but guess thats not going to be happening but it does mean the red cables will disappear. Don't think connecting to services will affect your renters as this is done at the road side where all the junction boxes are, they may not have power for a few hours one day but I would think that would be their only disruption but who knows as this is Spain. Anyway good luck with your renters.

Visited the sales office when we were out to get an update on the resort progress, back last Monday unfortunately. The guy in the sales office said:
GOLF COURSE they have brought in an additional 5 engineers (green keepers) to ensure that the golf course/practice facilities are finished soon and to the required standard. Think they've had a few problems with the design of the course but that'll be nothing to the problems players are going to have negotiating the course! The practice facilities will be finished to the same standard as the course and appears they will both open at the same time. As mentioned in another post the Club house will not be built at the moment and to cut the costs the pro shop will be based within Al Kasar and the 13th hole will then become the 1st etc etc. He also stated that the 2nd course 'Bears Best' will immediately start development and will be completed in 18 months, this should be an easier job for them than the first course because it's been built before.
AL KASAR three restaurants were due to be completed within the next 2/3 weeks so that would be any time now. Not sure how accurate this will be given the Spanish holidays in August. Shortly after this he expects other facilities to open eg hairdressers. Think he said pizza, paella/rice and a buffet style restaurant.
OASIS Don't expect this to be constructed for a good couple of years yet. PW has had consultations with the companies who have signed up to go into the Oasis, they have all apparently agreed to hold off for a while due to the current financial situation.
Have to say we were delighted with the progress of the site and just have to be patient and look forward to how good the finished product will be.
