Runours Bar on Camposol to close

Although it´s on Camposol, I know many people come over to Camposol to shop & use the facilities, so I thought it was worth mentioning that Rumours Bar on Camposol B is closing on Sunday (13th Sept) - all the staff will be layed off & I imagine looking for work. I wish them all the best of luck.

Is this the place where they do lovely english breakies? 

If it is, we will be so gutted :( we ate breakfast twice during our 5 day stay there last week.

Do you know why they are closing, they seemed constantly busy?

I've only been there a couple of times but the people were good there.

Lets hope it doesn't stay closed for too long.

We ate at Rumours on Wednesday - it has a lovely restaurant upstairs with an open kitchen.  Its a real shame it's closing, the meal was lovely.

Problem is that rent on camposol is extortionate. Rumours had a large upstairs area, 1 part restaurant and the other part a party room. Since they sacked their entertainment guy, this place stayed empty. They need at least a good crowed each summer weekend to make money and cover for the winter months. just a few people in the downstairs bar is just a drop in the ocean.

Have to turn over a lot to pay rent + wages etc

True if you don't support glover etc one day somebody will pull the plug. Difference is that PW runs the show so the rent is less of an issue.

A lot of bars struggle on Camposol due to the extreme high rents. Full in the summer but dead in the winter...

message for rich&bops, can recommend the english brekkies at the costa cafe, downstairs in best wishes shop, very good and excellent value , so dont despair !!!

If the bars are struggling on Camposol, it is because they are so cold and unwelcoming, and they all look the same.  Also they constantly have karaoke.  It is so naff.

Why don't they create a cosy atmosphere with some Spanish music.  That might get rid of some of the rentagobs that seem to frequent these bars.

Sandra who owned Rumours is a friend of mine, and I was at her RETIREMENT party

She bought Rumours 2 years ago when it was a shell and has spent 24/7  in the place and has decided she would like to get a life, and yes we all know times are hard, but once again,,,,,RUMOUR CONTROL has got it wrong again
