Frustration

Is anyone else pulling their hair out waiting for news? Does anyone have any news?

If it helps at all, there is lot of building work taking place on site all the time now, access roads being finished, paving being laid, astro turf around the pool(not usable yet!) and workmen in and out of the apartments regularly.

They would appear very keen to get the thng finished and completing on sales by the looks of it.

Anyone got their deposit back due to the late delivery ???

Make no mistake the developers will, and need to complete ASAP. July/August are very slow months in this area for getting things done setting aside  the problems in the Spanish building industry at this time.    Understand your frustration we too have been in your position.

Rest assured it will be worth it!!  although it is easy for me to say.

Thanks for the replies guys. The extra frustration here is that we booked flights to come out in October back in the summer thinking it would all be done by now - but as things are I have no idea if it will all be ready in time or whether we'll have a wasted trip.

yes i to can understand your frustration we had two wasted trips , i am presuming that you mean this is for your completion at the notori,am i right ?.not just for furniture instalation or something. if it is for the notorie take my advise and give power of oterney to your solicitor for this, i know that it is quite daunting especialy when your not there, but we had lois mendez and he saw to this for us.i suppose at the end of the day it is your decision but thank god we did it, otherwise we would have had a lot more wasted trips, hope every thing goes smooth for you and you never know we may just meet up in arcos some time

Thanks for the message Happy Go Lucky. Our solicitor does have power of attorney so will complete for us. However we expected mid Oct that this would have already happened and that we could spend our trip sorting out furtniture, kitchen etc. Oh well, Arcos is a lovely place so I'm sure we'll enjoy our stay either way, will just be extra nice if it can be in our own place.

my name is geoff by the way ,called my self happy go lucky when i my self was going through the frustration , can i just recomend that for kitchens we down loaded the ikea brochure from england planned the kichen before we went ,and took the plan and item numbers with us they are the same item numbers in spain. you could go to sevill.we had the help of a lovely couple that advertised on the internet with a van, if i can find the imformation at sometime i will place this on the forum may help someone, i know that her sister lives in the old town arcos, so maybe if someone is reading this it will jog a memory, and hopefully they can reply with this. anyway good luck everyone,ps there spanish was very good and came in realy usefull at the ikea check out.

Regarding kitchen it is no harm to check with Mo first. As for the guys who help out with Ikea I think you mean,, Don Campo'', am I right?

They have their own website and did the job for us. The deal is that they collect your purchase at Ikea Seville and deliver it to your place. They ended up helping us gather the items from the shelfes.

Sorry to sound so vague but I thought kitchens, air conditioning and sky were all included in the price.

Is anybody else in block 2, if so, is it finished yet?

We did consider asking Luis to start proceedings to recover our deposit as we paid our deposit in November 2006 with a promise of completion November 2007 - November 2009 is looming and still not ready.

Has anybody tried to get their deposit back?

Sounds like another case of Sunset Strikes Again. The kitchens are not included, only the bathroom appliances. The air conditioning is only the 'pre-installed' part which I understand to be some of the electrics maybe but certainly not the units themselves. Sky TV? First time I've heard of that being included - presumably only if it is done as a community and put on the service charge bill.
