I have just being speaking to my sister who has stayed in both Disney & Universal studio hotels and she  says not t worry  about the noise if it should be built on Condadoor on the opposite side of the motorway.

She says the areas are so large that the noise facter parts are always well away from the accomodation section  so either way  I hope it does take place

Either way Condado is a lovely resort and we've met so many new friends in the end I'm not too worried. It'd be a big boost for the region and for the resort, but time will tell and if PW do sort themselves out maybe that will lead to improvements anyway. There's still to be a theme park in Lorca which may be a boost to us as well.

I was just posting what was on the Laverdad website in case nobody had seen it. In my opinion it would be great guns for the region but have to agree no regrets about where we bought and what we've got it can only get better but.....

Interesting that we hear nothing for weeks and then as soon as PW annouce that they have another 31 days to clear the financial problems, that this is also announced by Paramount. 

Makes you wonder what games they play at the board level, to either help PW to sell more properties or for Paramount to get a better deal.

Don't worry everyone.  My husband works for the Vale of Glamorgan Council which encompasses Barry Island Leisure Park (Gavin and Stacey fame). 

He has had a chattypoo with the owner and he is happy to come and build a Log Flume, Ghost Train  and Dodgems for us all.

What more could we want.

You are not alone in your opinion Jill but I am afraid you will be perceived as being negative. I made a similar coment when the news broke and was soundly judged for it. I have since reflected on the good and bad and know it would be good for the region and for property prices but it isnt where I would have chosen if a theme park had been that close  when we were first looking. However if it actually happend ( by no means certain) it would be at least 20 mins away from our part of Condado.

Look on the bright side - we may get dicounted tickets !!  If not we could always get a part time job there to pay for heating in the pools !!   HA HA     Its not all bad news   ( or is it ) ? 

 Just Reality check on people who have said if they wanted theme park they would have gone to florida, fist florida is 9hrs flying away, second dollar is not good, so flights, property are more expensive, thirdly there are a lot of people that would have loved to have some were like florida, but because of distance and cost did not buy, but if theme park is in spain ,will certainly reconsider, so will bring much needed investment to area, and hopefully bring Condado up to finish it was promised, when most of us brought into idea of all the golf courses and amenities, so lets at least look on bright side, and think of how the place will look if this all goes through.

I do appriciate the wealth it will bring to the area,and I am  not being negative,but as I said, I enjoy the peace and quiet of Condado all some people think about is the value of thier propery going up, they are obviously not over very often,I go over every month and personally I think it will spoil the area

We could do with more amenities in the area and a convenient way of getting to and from the airport. A theme park on our doorstep would certainly put us on the map

Having said that, there is a character to the place at the moment and I love the fact that 2 minutes off the resort and you are in rural Spain. I wouldnt want to see the roads clogged up with traffic and drive thru McDonalds every few miles.

I cant see why people have a problem with Paramount / Universal idea, its not done Paris any harm with their park.

I know exactly what Jill is saying and I agree with her comments, I cant speak for Jill but  if I had wanted biz and tat I would have bought elsewhere, us up here in Scotland enjoy a slower pace of life and  Condado offers this the way it is at  present  and I don't want Condado  ruined by THIS type of commercialism.
