NIE

Hi

Has anyone come across a NIE number being duplicated.  Spanish Tax Forms who completed our 210s has advised that it seems my husband's number is allocated to someone else in Barcelona.  Clearly if there is something wrong our deeds and will are incorrect!

I contacted my spanish solicitor who has taken to line that this would never happen.  She checked with the tax administration and it seems that my husband's number has not been registered with the tax administration (the bank must have paid all our purchase taxes through my number).

Any idea how I can find out myself if there is a problem?

How did you obtain your NIE?  Was it from Polaris World if so maybe contact them for some advise. If not go back to where you obtained it from.  Only a suggestion.  Good luck
