Buying Air Con.

Hi everyone,

Can anyone recommend a good airconditioning supplier who also provides a good after sales service.

I've searched back through several threads and haven't found the answer that I'm looking for, so please excuse me if this is well exhaused.

We used chill out costa blanca, very good service, all well fitted had no problems at all, they were fittedin August 2008, and also got a free water filter kit in the kitchen, Look for them on there website.

Climazone recenly fitted air con in one of our apartments. The units were competively priced  and supplied and fitted on time. It is the second time we have used them the last time being for an an awning, and have been pleased with the work and equipment supplied.

does anybody know if the portable aircon units are any good, ive seen them in the carrefour and alike for around 100 euro, just concluded and on a tight budget so aircon instalation will be next years purchase, thanks Gary

Hi Gary,

I've never bought one, but I do have a friend who did.  They worked well to start will and then the first one expired just outside of warranty.  The others were gone within another year.  This guy was pretty handy at DIY, so it wasn't a case of botched installation.

I've just been quoted between 1800€ and 2400€ for three units to go into a 2 bedroom apartment.

I hope that this helps a bit, although it is probably not the answer that you are looking for.

Hi Ken,

I got one inverter  unit installed by a local company from Fuente Alamo called Marin Diaz Climatización S.L. As I said in previous messagges, I paid 600 euros and it is more than enough to heat and cool my ground flloor apartment in Garden 7, and my electricity bills are quite reasonable.

What I like the most about this company, it is that they do not try to sell  2 or 3 units, I mentioned I wanted one unit and it was fine for them,  and they are only 15 minutes from Condado, so I know if I ever have a problem they can come very fast.

They are now also been called  from some neighbours to resolve the problem with the aircon fixed by other companies, which have now disapeared from site.
