HI THERE,CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ME TELL IF THERE IS A GOOD CAR HIRE COMPANY TO USE AT MURCIA AIRPORT.IM LOOKING FOR A COMPANY THAT DOES FULL - FULL WITH FUEL.ALSO IS THERE A PETROL STATION NEAR THE AIRPORT?HOW MUCH DO THEY TAKE FROM YOUR CREDIT CARD AT PICKUP AS DEPOSIT?.THANKS    IAIN

It depends on how long you are wanting the car i.e up to 3 days hire most of them do full/full once you go over the 3 days then it is usually a charge for a tank of fuel which is a rip off price!!!   There is a petrol station very near the airport you just turn right at the very first roundabout on leaving the airport drive to the end of that road along the outer fence of the airport and you will come to the traffic lights and see the petrol station in front of you.  You can go on websites like doyouspain.com and get a qutoe online and you can view the fuel policy on their website, others are economycarhire.com or carjet.com or arguscarhire.com.  There a just a few to go at and I'm sure you will soon get more replies from people

forgot to mention that most of the car hire companies now try to push the additional insurance for tyres/wheels/windscreens etc at 3 or 4 euros per day.  They are quite forceful with this additional insurance and many just nod and take it but it is your option whether to have it or not and don't be pressured into taking it.  Some of the hire companies then say if you don't take it then a 300 euros deposit must be left, some take this on your credit card some just take an imprint of your card but don't actually take it and when the car is returned ok they tear up the slip.  I must admit I don't take the additional insurance and they really get on my nerves the way they try to intimidate you to take it......  I go to Spain almost every month for short trips and if i paid the additional insurance everytime it would amount to a small fortune over the year......

Sorry I'm on one now !!!!!   Does anyone know if they get commission from selling the additional insurance??????

If we take out this annual insurance does that mean the car hire company wont want the 300 euros as deposit as they would normally

In the past we have mostly gone with Goldcar and they just except that we dont want  there insurance, this time we are renting with aurigacrown, so watch this space !!

Even if you take out annual insurance they still charge you the 300 euros.

(We have an annual policy)

However some lowlife bumped our car last time, and although there was a really big dent in the back of it we weren't charged

My wife's coming out later this year for a long weekend with a few of her girlfrinds.

As they will need to hire a 7 seater the fuel suppliment will be high I'm sure and doubt whether they will even use half a tank.

Any ideas which hire companies have a return full policy for a four day hire?

From memory most companies to a full return policy for a hire period of 4 days or less.

Came out about 8 times last year and 1 this year so far, we are out in about a months time for 11 days and have booked with Do You Spain, getting car from Aurigacrown with a Full/Full policy.

 hertz also do it, did it last year, although they are slightly more expensive you know what you pay, especially if your not using the fuel
