I've just received this on an email from Polaris - I can't help feeling a bit disappointed at our resort or lack of it

I think, as far as food outlets and bars are concerned the units are only for Polaris World or their chosen leasee company- not sure about other types of stores. They probably dont want the competition regarding food/drink. I remember a long time ago someone on the forum had asked about taking one of the units because they wanted to run a pizza restaurant but had had the idea knocked back to them and I think I remember that TQM's wife or sister had asked about opening the bar at the sports zone as a cafe but had been told that couldnt happen.. Then again the bar at the sports zone is probably linked to the gym and squash etc so is an option for the company who have taken all of that over.
The units at Al Kazar are quite substantial in size when you look into them; certainly an undertaking for anyone who wants to create shop and storage space as they are starting from scratch in everyway.
Maybe this position will change depending on what happens with Polaris in the next few weeks.

I have been down to El Boulevard, not one of the apartments were inhabited, yet they had a choice of bars and restaurants.
We have aprox. 3000 sold properties and far less facilities.
I can only assume that El Bolevard is hoping to attract people from Torre Pacheco, Las Alcazares etc as its in a far more densely populated region than Condado.
Still wish we had something similar

I think PW have opened this because it is ideal for passing trade being on the main road between Torre Pacheco and Las Alcazares, they also have the PW Garden centre just over the road.
As Darren said , when we went non of the new apartments appeared occupied but the restaurants and bars were busy.

Morning all - What did you expect, thousands of properties sold many hundreds or thousands still to sell. Building work circa 99.9% complete, whole Mar Menor complex 99.9% complete, hotel and course operational. PW have completed what they started - has taken years but that was the plan.
If and it'sa big if PW get through their current finacial situation we might end up with our complex being completed with numerous bars, shops etc. etc. only time will tell. Fingers crossed.
