Hi Helen

I spoke with the Romanber office today, who explained that the town hall are now happy with all the work with the exception of a 'zona verde' (green zone - presumably a small park) which still needs to be built. They estimate that it will be another 1-2 months before completion but they have been saying this for over a year now.

Is anyone on site who can confirm what work is being done?

Thanks

Adam

 Hi Cuadra

Just to let you all know that myself and my wife just returned home last week, after a longer break than expected thanks to the ash cloud. Work is still been carried out in the last block of appartments across from the Town house's. All the plaster work is done, painted, and windows we're been fitted as we left. It all looks very well and clean looking. I think some of the tile work has also been done in some of them and they still have to fit out all the bathrooms etc. I noticed that this block seem's to have solar panels fitted also.

Regards

John

Hi Cuadra,

Just to reiterate what Johnp O'Neill says, work is progressing well on site in the newer phase. ...

However, the phase that everyone seems to be waiting for phase 2 [?] certainly appears to have ground to a halt.

I am living in Block 1 and recently enquired about the swimming pool opening this summer. I was informed by Mercedes, the administrator of our site,  that it will be at least 2 months before the Town Hall grants the habitation licence for phase 2, possibly longer. Romanber have some works to carry out before the licence will be granted. In her opinion,  it looks like no swimming pool this summer.[Reading between the lines, no completion this summer].

In addition to this, the site is is a pretty untidy state, with a swimming pool that is becoming ever swamp like. The communal areas in phases 1 and 2 also have yet to be completed.

I feel it would be very unlikely for anyone to purchase an apartment in this development in its current condition. [You may want to consider this if you are one of the owners currently attempting to sell].

I would ask/suggest that anyone with any leverage [ie due to complete and pay final installment] insists that pool and communal gardens are complete before parting with any more money.

I would invite your views on this matter.

Regards,

Inis
