Just got back...eventually.. and whilst out there a notice went up on the door to the pool (phase 3) saying the filtration system would be switched off in September until May, I think, and the pool should not be used during this time.
Personally I don`t think this is acceptable as the weather is still good outside June, July & August, I wonder if this also applies to other pools too.
Maybe a couple of emails, or even a collective one might get them to change this daft idea.
What do you think.....
Cheers,

Hi
The pool was closed in September and whilst it is being cleaned it is unclear when it will be opened. Last year it was July and this was brought forward by some Spanish owners breaking the lock and forcing the issue.
It is a difficult one - certainly a collective approach is most likely but feel from past experience in the last 4 years dealing with this company e mails will not lead to anything definate and a face to face approach will be necessary.
The houses have been completed with temp. licences hence we should have a pool which is open as this was part of the contract, however we are also currently not paying for the facilities, when we are we will be able to manage and determin within each community the rules by majority.
If last year is anything to go by it will be the spanish which force the issue - recommend a collective group approach, based on the earliest date when a reasonable group of owners will be able to approach Peinsa face to face. We are not out until 9th July how about any other owners?

As a resident of phase 1 , I will be glad when Piensa can sort out the pool situation. I find it hard to beleive that people think they are entitled to use a facility for which they have not paid. We purchased our property on phase 1 on the assurance from Peinsa that the pool was for the sole use of residents of phase one. Each phase has the use of their own specific pool and keys should not be issued to residents of other phases. I will be taking this point up with Patricia when I am next out in July.

You are correct in that the deeds clearly state that phase 1 pool is restricted for phase 1 properties - we have this in our deeds and we are on phase 2.
Whilst it is unfortunate for people on phase 4 and 5 that they have completed without a completed pool, equally it is not fair to other residents that their phase pool is being used by a multiple group of people - the pools are not particularly large to start with and we are soon likely to be at a stage where lots of people have keys to access the very few pools, which are on site.
The matter will only get worse as more buyers complete on the later phases whereby there is no licences approved and part of this is because the pools are not complete.
Whilst we are not paying for the pool maintance at the moment, which is reflected in us being controlled as to when we can and cannot use it , we do have to consider once this is resolved the need to rechange all the locks to protect and restrict the access to specific area's will be required.
Not a good situation all round and unlikely to be any winners in the situation - except of course Penisa!!

That is very british of you all, it is my ball & you are not playing with it for god sake grow up. Once all the pools are finished we shall all have the use of our own, but until then try and act like an adult. Like you say they are bloody freezing anyway so who in there right mind would use them & by the way keep an eye out for a german towel by your pool eh !!! enjoy life.

Thank you Mick & Pam
its taken most of us a long time to get into our houses so you would think we could all stick together and suport one another for the last run.

Ange,
I know it has taken everyone a very long time to get our houses and pools and in the past I have always told people to use the pool on phase 1 probably to the annoyance of some of the other residents. I have always tried to help people and I'm sure Mick and Pam will vouch for me. The issue I have is one of security. If people are just handing out keys to anyone, how do we even know who has actually got properties on CDP. Last summer people from the apartments behind us were using the pool. The pool on phase 1 is too easily accessible as the gates are low and easy enough to climb over. The entrance to the back of our house is also just a small gate with no locks, another thing that Peinsa had promised but did not deliver on was a gated entrance. We have had some very expensive pots and plants stolen from the front of our house as a few others have had. If we all stopped being so British and complained more like the Spanish do, maybe Peinsa would get their fingers out and complete this complex before another year goes by. Lynn

Just got back from a very pleasant visit to CDP last week.
The Phase 3 pool was available all the time we were there and was well used. The filtration system did appear to be working.
Although there was a notice on the entrance to Phase 1 saying that pool was not safe to use, there was no warning on Phase 3.
The water may have been cold, but when temperatures are in the upper 80s as they were last week, its an essential facility.
