Belated, Happy New Year to fellow residents on the development.
We have just returned from 2 weeks and as previous have enclose details, which may be useful:
Weather
First week really good for the time of year - able to sunbathe on the terrace between 11-3 most days. Last week however cloudy with one day where it rained most of the day. Also very windy at times - advised typical for the time of year.
But hay! Lot better than the UK!
Resort
Several owners had come out for the New Year and there was a party in the restaurante next to Beverley Hills around 150 of us went to. It was 15 euro's each and really good value, the food was very good, although more could be said for the wine selection!
La Venta kept us going, the chinese was closed and pizza place, Casa Vaga quiet - the selection of restaurantes was a problem on a Sunday and Weds when La Venta closed, it could have done with a couple more places open on an evening. During the day a few of the restaurantes on the beach front were open during the day.
3 kings in Aguilas worth seeing, floats and dancing etc.
Properties
On phase 3 and 2 at the bottom end of the development near where the market is held, the houses were being repaired and repainted as several had a lot of settlement cracks in them.
Penisa are providing houses now with canopies for over the boilers - not the fully enclosed one's just those which shelter the boiler. Properties are being done on a phased basis and owners will be advised when it is their turn.
More buyers are completing and work continues on the site, with more of the barriers down.
P.S. The development has adopted a stray dog - he is a white and brown terrier cross - if you are out walking, he is likely to follow you all the way until you return home, just in case he gets a treat. He isn't particularly road sensible however, so how long he is around is anyone's guess!
