CAN I HARE A CAR WITHOUT A CREDIT CARD

HI , IM COMING OVER NEXT WEEK , AND NEED TO HIRE A CAR I ALWAYS DEAL IN CASH AND HAVE A CREDIT CARD ,, DOES ANYONE KNOW IF I CAN HIRE A CAR WITHOUT A CREDIT CARD AS THE ONES IVE CHECKED SAY THEY NEED ONE , PLEASE  HELP CHEERS  IAIN

I can't imagine that any car hire company these days would let you rent a car without a credit card as it's not just about them securing funds but has a lot to do with them securing your details for legal reasons in case of any problems. 

If they did let you rent a car by means of cash then I suspect they'd want a very large sum left as a deposit and that would leave you relatively unprotected.

It cant be done, I came over once with just a debit card and they wouldnt give me the car, luckily I had friends arriving later that day so had to wait at the airport for 6 hours and then borrow their card.

 yes i've always got a hire car without a credit card, FC rent-a-car on camposol A sector will let you but their cars are tiny...kia picanto etc.. then theres the place down the port, cant remember the name but they share the office with costa calida radio, next to the indoor fruit  veg market. they do bigger cars, 4x4 and vans.  

FC lets you rent a car without a credit card, BUT only when you collect from their offices. They will not deliver the car to the Airports for you, only when booking with a credit card.

So you still need to make tyour own way somehow to one of their offices. They require €250 deposit last time I enquired (last summer)

FC car rental has a website fcrentacar.com . also has an office in camposol Sector A shopping center.

Apart from FC there might be some small operators doing the same thing, but all the established one don't allow you to rent a car without credit card nowadays..

We hired a car in San Javier Airport without creditcard.  I am not sure, but I think it was the comp. Aurigacrown Car.  They have a desk in the airport, and they only asked 300 Euro deposit, which was returned immediately upon the return of the car
