Recieved this earlier this week from Luke Murphy most people have heard about the news but this is just to back everythign up

The Nicklaus Golf Trail will now consist of the following three excellent 18-hole golf courses La Torre Best Golf, El Valle Best Golf, Hacienda Riquelme Best Golf, all of which are managed by Polaris World.

The following 3 courses Mar Menor Best Golf, Condado de Alhama Signature Course and La Torre Sur Best Golf, will now be managed independently by a new owner. All existing bookings made for these courses will be honoured or can be moved to any of the Nicklaus Golf Trail courses.

Following a commercial reorganisation, Polaris World will now be responsible for the management of the InterContinental La Torre Golf Resort Murcia 5*, Polaris World Vacaciones self catering accommodation and the following Nicklaus Golf Trail golf courses: La Torre Best Golf, El Valle Best Golf, Hacienda Riquelme Best Golf.

The InterContinental Mar Menor Golf Resort & Spa 5* will now be managed by a new owner and if you have any enquiries regarding this please contact the hotel directly on the following number: +34 968 041 940.

THANKS , that's good info - so even though Jack designed Condado as his signature course we won't be marketed under the Nicklaus Golf Trail banner - I think it is a loss not to have Jack's good name associated with the course - or maybe Jack and Ollie can work something out between them ?????

Which one is  La Torre Best Golf and which one is La Torre Sur Best Golf??

La Torre best golf is the La Torre that is completed. Where the intercontinental Hotel is.

La Torre Sur (South) is the Terrazas De La Torre, which is a separate resort about a mile or so from La Torre, although dont think anything is complete their yet.

Some weeks past it was posted that J Nicklaus had removed his name from our course but no-one could really identify when, where or what had happened. Do you think someone had an 'in' on this information and thats how that rumour circulated, which now looks like the real situation?

I thought that Jack's name was still going to be used with the course as stated in an article on Jill & Terry's site

Yes, that article does say that doesnt it? Though a couple of others aren't so clear about the golf trail. Despite all this its very good that the Banks have put a reputable company in to manage the course rather than sit on it awaiting a buyer.

Our course is still on Jack Nicklaus website, but listed as "under construction". It seems impossible that he would abandon his signature course. All golf course designers have had problematic projects with financial problems and subsequently low quality on maintenance. Besides, even at this stage, the course is really something to be proud of.

Our course will still be advertised as a jack nicklaus signature course but under the Olagolf Name................. Watch this space is all i will say.
