Transport golf clubs

We are coming over on 10th august for a week and I am bringing my son with us. We thought we would get in a couple of games  but Jet2.com want £90 to carry 2 sets of clubs there and back, now I am not tight fisted in the least but that is a rip off in anyones language. Does anybody know if you can hire clubs at Condado and for how much. another option might be to ship them over on one of those furniture runs if the rate is reasonable. Does anyone know of a company that might do that service. failing that I might bring a set over and leave them in the apartment lock up. What have you all done? have you paid those airline rates or have you got any other imaginative solutions?

Mark bought a couple of sets and then Alan (Nozzer) arranged for ours to be taken over and so we have two sets out there all the time. This worked out much cheaper than paying each time to take them out.

Jet2 prices are the same as most other airlines.

We bought an extra set each in the UK to leave at the apartment, but we did look at a golf supermarket which is on the industrial estate San Javier side of La Torre on the AP7. Its visible from the motorway.

When we went to  Carrefour  at Cartagena they also sell golf equipment, they have a website at www.carrefour.es

There is also a Golf supermarket at Los Alcazares

Thanks everyone, looks like there are one or two different options to consider. I do not think that bringing your own clubs over every time you visit is a viable option though unless you have money to throw away. I certainly do not as Yvonne is down to her last 60 pairs of shoes and 75 handbags, so I will need cash to top up those severely depleted collections!

I purchased a set of clubs from Pacific Golf in USA.  You tell them what type of clubs you prefer (Make & Model), fill out an online questionaire and they will make a set for you.  They fit the clubs based on the information you supply.  The clubs are made as closely to the specification of the clubs of your choice.  It is all perfectly legal as they do not carry the brand name of your choice on the clubs.  The link below relates to Pacific Golfs version of the Nike Slingback model.   If my calculations are correct, you can purchase and ship this full set of irons, including sand wedge, to Spain for around £180.00, not bad for a custom fitted set.

The set I purchased is based on the Callaway X21 model.  When playing I have often been asked if they are in fact Callaway clubs.  As you would expect from most American companies customer service is first class. 

Have a look at this driver based on the Nike Sumo model and rather cheekily called the Kumo Driver.

i have a decent rh full set plus bag for hire for 10 euros per day. ill incl 3 second hand balls so i dont care if they end up in the lakes.
