Lights

Hello we are finally getting lights - inside and out - sorted out in our penthouse. Can anyone recommend good shops/stores where we can buy these?

Hi Rustad, Leroy Merlin in Cartegena is the Spanish equivalent of B & Q and we got all our internal and external lighting there. Right next door to it is Carrefour, Media Markt which is their version of PC World & Curry's all in one and a major shopping mall with loads of different shops and the like.

Sorry mate, didn't realise your name was Alan until I noticed it at the bottom of your thread.

We got our inside lights from Ikea and the outside ones from Leroy Merlin. Steve) Endpeg fitted them for us.

We bought ours from B&Q and Wilkinsons put them well wrapped into a suitcase, into the fragile hold on the plane and all survived!!

We got the outside ones from the DIY store just down the road in Campsol, for inside we too went to Leroy Merlin. They also have a store in Murcia at the Stadium which is just across the motorway from IKEA.

Fitting the lights is a doddle, particularly the inside as you can pull down the conduit and cables, connect up without fiddling with short wires, breaking your neck or getting snappy at the wife for hassling you over something trivial. Then you shove all the excess back up through the hole.
