can anyone offer any advice on Pay as you go internet dongles? We are back out in July for a month and will need internet access for emails mainly. Our mobile reception on site is pretty poor - does this follow for the dongle? Any ideas of costs etc?
Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

A few people on this forum use http://www.citrusred.es/ they charge 5 cents per MB and I believe there is a 3G signal at condado. It uses the Orange Network.
Does anybody know if you can use one of these sims in an iPad? When I called they kept trying to see me the dongle, but I only need the sim?

I got a citrus red dongle...think it was all up about €90. However the signal isn't great for us, although we were told it would improve with a bit of use. It works for quick looks on the internet if you're not in a hurry but hasn't been any good for e-mail. But again I have been told it can vary from garden to garden.
I'm hoping that in the summer it comes right...my advice would be to make sure you sit down and use it for ten minutes checking your regular websites and e-mails before getting one.

If you are with Vodafone for your mobile and have a data add-on (standard for the iphone) you should be able to use your phone for emails and general browsing without any additional cost. The usage will come out of your data package, all you have to do is check your network settings and ensure you're connecting through the live.vodafone.com apn.
Obviously this isn't enough for heavy use, but I've used it in UK, Germany and Spain with no problems. Apparently you can even use it in the US!. Vodafone have agreements in place with most providers, but I suppose check with them before you fly.

Don't know anything about non usage charges. Have you set up a direct debit fom your credit card or are you PAYG? The only time I have been charged is when the credit get below 5 Euros and it automatically tops itself up to the pre set level of 20 Euros - simples.
Check your contract.

I asked and was told there would be a €1/mth charge if there was no usage for the entire month. This would come out of the credit on the dongle until you run low and get topped-up again.
I hadn't set mine up to automatically top-up via bank or credit card...was waiting till next month. Would be wary of doing it if this €10 charge is standard practice now.
