Hi All
Just to clarify my comments in previous mail regarding costs of utilities contracts.
No doubt many of you will have paid 1 fee to your lawyers for setting up these services - but in case any of you are 'going it alone' - - - - -
I had previously said that the charge for setting up contract is included in the 1st bill to be paid by direct debit through your bank.
This is NOT the case with water - which has to be contracted through Mijas Golf SA ( based in a small office in Pueblo Mijitas at the top of Mijas Golf).
I have today attempted to set up the contract for an owner - only to be advised that the setting up fee of € 340.78 needs to be paid as application is made.
Currently water is still being supplied by the developer , but there will be a 'cut off' point, when the developer considers that everyone has had adequate time to apply for their contract. Normally the developer would have to give 1 - 2 weeks notice of this.
Like to advise also that a new gardening company have yesterday started work in the complex - to get things 'ship shape' again.
In the case of private gardens - make sure that your lawyer advises Evemarina - that you will require this tidying up - either for your signing at the notary - or more importantly for when you are planning on visiting for the first time.
Kind regards
Jean
