Petition - please sign!

Hi all - I have started a petition asking the council to do something about the smell of sewage at the top of the development.

It states:

Los abajo firmantes, vecinos de Playa Golf, sector La Cuerda y Lomas de Cabo Roig, ante los continuos malos olores procedentes de la depuradora cercana, y debido a los perjuicios turísticos, económicos, sanitarios y de higiene y por la mala imagen del municipio y la pérdida de calidad de vida de quienes allí residen, SOLICITAN al Excmo Ayuntamiento de Orihuela la solución a este problema a la mayor brevedad posible.

For those of you who are here at the moment, there are forms for signature at many of the bars and restaurants or you can PM me and I will make sure you get a form.  You need to put either your NIE or passport number on the form or they will not accept your signature - in case you are just a figment of my imagination!

For those of you who are not going to be here over the next few weeks you can send an email to Stefan Pokroppa at the town hall asking him to do something about it.  His email is stefan@orihuela-costa.eu

Thanks - much appreciated. 

One of the Spanish newspapers is interested in the story and they have done some interviews up at the bars and restaurants affected.  Let's hope we can get something done about it.
