In Sunday's Laverdad:
The company Trampoline Hills Golf Resort , which planned to build thousands of homes in Campos del Río, a customer must pay € 112,000 for not having built his house in the agreed period, according to a ruling of the Provincial Court . Of this amount , 82,000 euros refer to money given by the buyer, and the balance, compensation for damages for breach of contract by the society. The court, which dismissed the appeal filed by the company against the sentence of a court of Mula, refuses, as it claimed that the performance of the contract was conditioned that he get the reclassification of the land where urbanization is projected . The hearing is conclusive to show that company and the buyer signed a contract in April 2005 and at the same indicated that the delivery of the house would be 20 months, the company failed .
Not sure how meaningful this is against a bankrupt company, but the legal precedent has now been set and could open the floodgates for other buyers?
