General Advice for those living in Torre Guil (Frondoso Valley)

Advice 1 Sending Mail/ Parcels home in a hurry

If you need to send a parcel etc home in a hurry to the UK, there is a DHL depot just behind the Siete television station as you come off the Motorway for Sangonera la Verde.  They have all the padded envelopes, boxes that you require. The lady at the desk speaks a little english also. As a guide 0.5kg will cost about E70 and will get back to the UK by the next day (but they are closed on Saturday and Sunday).

Advice 2 Collecting Mail in Sangonera la Verde

Until we have mail boxes up at Torre Guil all mail is delivered and must be collected from the Post Office in Sangonera la Verde. Mail is kept at the post for 3 weeks before being returned to sender. You will need id (passport etc) to get the mail.

Advice 3 Electronic Bills

Electricity and water bills can be received electronically by going onto the respective web sites and registering (all in Spanish) to receive the bills electronically. Gas (Repsol) do not currently have thi service. You will need your account id etc before you can set up this facility.

Advice 4 Avoding picking up family and friends at Alicante Airport

There is a regular bus service between Alicante Airport and Murcia Bus Station (and vice versa) via the motorway. It costs E4.56. It departs from Outside the terminal at Alicante and is as quick as the car journey.

Advice 5 Taxi

Radio Taxi de Murcia will pick up and drop off at Torre Guil, however the cars usually come out from the city and there is usually a call out charge. As a rough guide the fare to the city is E30.
