Darren do you think its impossible for people to have originally bought into one version of something but then find themselves very happy when another version arrives in its place.
I think its like going somewhere with a predetermined view of what its like (and thinking thats for you) and finding it totally different, but still enjoying it.
Of course some people won't be happy with anything but the original version but there are plenty of others who have found the alternative suits them fine. And of course there will be a lot of people in between.

We bought with Polaris for three reasons
The first was because we know of quite a few people who have property`s on Polaris sites and all gave Polaris a good testimonial
Secondly because we did not want the Spanish government to allow a major road to be built next door to our property as so many have experienced
Thirdly we wanted to be in a new build where Spanish people would be living

Better get back to my Smiths Album !!... Heaven, knows I am miserable now!!! I used to be happy before I had heard of Polaris World! Although this forum acts as the worlds worst support group!

Mark, Thanks for the support, although I don't fully agree when you say:-
"The resort is crap"
You cant call the place a "resort!"....lol

Perhaps I am missing the benefits of the resort then?
For example, if a friends family with 2 kids aged around 8 and 12 wanted to come over for a break how would I sell it to them........and keep a straight face

Markbarrowman, I'd say you're not looking for the benefits, only what you haven't been given.
If your friends kids can swim I'd say having a pool on your doorstep would be good enough to sell it. Most kids would stay in the pool all day if you let them.
We've let family use our place and everyone has loved it. Those with kids say the pool is great and the kids tire themselves out swimming all day. The others enjoy the climate and a break from the rat race and the city noise...along with the cheap wine, local markets, and the beach.
If people need cafes and restaurants to walk to and numerous pubs to spend their holidays in then CDA isn't the place for them.
I'd like a place to wander down and look at some shops or watch some sport and have a pint...but they're not top of my list. I'll use them if/when they turn up but will enjoy my time until then anyway.

I agree with SMV it is suprising how kids enjoy what Condado has to offer. My wife and I are foster carers and have taken a large number of children to the resort in the 2 1/2 years since we bought our first property. They have all enjoyed themselves in the pool, playing football, going to the beach, and in the evening socialising at the bar with other kids etc......
During the school holidays there are normaly lots of other kids that they spend time with and some have become good friends that they keep in touch with back in the UK. Frequently when we go on excursions the older ones decline to go prefering to stay with their friends.
Its nice to see that even in this electronic age kids can still enjoy themselves by just playing / socialising with friends.
