Hello anyone
Our water has been cut off due to non-payment. We have had no water meter installed or never heard from Urbaser informing us when they are going to take any money.
Our bank in Spain also contacted them asking when they are going to fix a meter and take payments they were told "Manyana".
I have contacted Mileniun (who told me it was because we never paid). I have also contacted our keyholder asking for advice. Is it worth contacting our beloved Polaris World as they were supposed to send the paperwork to Urbaser for them to fix the meter etc.,
Can anyone help.
Ta - Jane

Hi Ptan
I knew I could rely on you for a reply. Don't know how to thank you. Carol our keyholder is going to sort it out for us hopefully.
Sometimes I think (and I know I'm being very judgemental) but the spanish don't bother to do things properly so as to make money from us british.
Thanks again Ptan.

We had a similar problem and despite Urbaser informing us that they indeed had all our bank details - however they failed to fit a water meter and have never set up a chargeable account
Finally and the with the intervention of Carmen at Mileniun we were able to establish that in order to fit the meter Urbaser needed our NIE number ?? (only in Spain) so might be worth supplying this to them (belt and braces and all that)
Our meter was fitted last week, my thanks also to Phil who while out dog walking was also able to cfm this for me !!
Rgds

Hi Mark
Carol our keyholder is going to Urbaser for us with our NIE and address in her holster!!!
Maybe the spanish should come over here and learn from our lovely councils and water boards how to get your rates- they don't miss a trick.
We will get it sorted but it's a bit of a drag.

I have just asked Urbaser to forward my bill to me and it came in at €646.77. This is for 393m3 of usage. I had posted on another thread named "warning" about the water leak at my water meter and as of now polaris have still not fixed it. They also asked me to forward a copy of my bill but i have a feeling i have a long fight ahead of me. I am finding it nearly impossible to get them to reply to my e-mails. Customer service my ar**

Hi Everyone
I have been emailing urbaser about a bill they tried to take direct debit from my account for 955 euros, this month, this only for 3 months worth of water, the say i have used, this is impossible as no one has been in our apartment for over 4 months.
I worked out the amount of water they have said i have used would fill 2 and half olympic size swimming pools!!!!
I have stopped all debits to this company until this is resolved. They say there is not an error with there readings, i would say that the meters they installed were not read properly and were not set to zero when installed.
The saga continues
Has anyone else had a similar experience with urbaser.
If so could you please let me know
Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul
My bill was for €647 and this is correct because there is a major water leak underground after my meter. my bill would have been a lot more but terry turned of the valve to my meter after about a month, I notified polaris about the problem on the 17th of December and have also forwarded my bill to them,...........But guess what they still have not fixed the problem and now they will not answer my e-mails, so it looks like a trip to Spain soon to get this resolved, I also asked Urbaser why the engineer would leave the meter on when it is obvious that there was a problem, but they have just passed the buck. So you must either have a tap left on or you have the same problem as me in which case get someone to check it out and get onto Polaris asap as it will take a long time to get it fixed.

Hi Mark
I had the key holder go round and the meter is not even going round, they have now put a padlock on it so it can`t be read by anyone but them.
I will get on to polaris and see if they can check it out. do you have the email address you sent to by any chance.
Any help would be great on this matter as it driving me nuts that they have a serious problem and not doing anything about it
Cheers

Hi Paul
I contacted customerservice@polarisworld.com and i went onto the polarisworld.com website and went to the customer service tab at the bottom of the page and sent a mail to after sales as well, but they just don't reply at all, It is possible when the person read your meter, the penny finally dropped that their was a problem and he may have turned off the valve....if it was me i would cut the lock and turn the supply back on...(if it is off)..... to find out exactly what the problem is so that they can't con you later on, saying you left a tap on or something to that effect, good luck with it, very frustrating times ahead for you. hope this helps
