Hi All
We have just completed on our apartment in Khios and have been out in Duquesa last week sorting out snagging, furniture etc.It all looks pretty good. There are a few faults to be fixed - terrace tiling is a bit uneaven (water collects in the middle rather than draining off), safe is round the wrong way, half the shutters are jammed, wardrobe doors don't lock, etc but I guess that's Spain for you! With the recent bad weather we had alot of standing water in our utility room, it had blown in through the holes in the bricks at the back. There doesn't seem to be anyway for this to drain off - has anyone else had this problem?
The "street" area behind the block looks very smart, planted out with mature palm trees. Shame about the Arenal blocks being built on our side of the road. They spoil the view a bit, but I guess we should be thankful we still have a view! We took some pictures and will upload to this site soon. Beware the drive down to the garage - it's very steep and unless you take the racing line you will need a 3 point turn at the top and bottom.
We will be out again in summer half term by which time the furniture should be in and hopefully most of the faults fixed. Does anyone know if there is any time limit on how long Ros y Falcon have to fix faults? I read about 30 days but I'm assuming that is how long we have to report them?
I asked in the promoter's office about getting another remote for the gate and they pointed me in the direction of AEA (opposite the little supermarket in the port). This was at the end of our week and I didn't manage to get there when it was open. Are they running the community until a body of owners is elected? Does anyone know if the monthly community charge has been agreed?
