Brico, Camposol Closing?

Hi folks,

just got back from CdA and saw a huge sign going up outside Brico, the DIY shop in Camposol. Has anyone else seen it?

Is the place really doing so badly, it is going into liquidation?

Have to admit, although I'm fully aware of the recession, I would be gob-smacked if that shop went under.

It's also sad because Brico is probably the one place that got most of us 'early buyers' up and running back in 2008/9.

Brico are not just local thay are all over our region with numerous outlets.

This would be a shame if they closed.

I haven't seen the sign myself, but if it just says "liquidation" looking back at when rumours were going on about Polaris World Garden Centre going under a couple of years back,  because of "liquidation" signs were in the windows, it proved it was just another way of saying "closing down sales"?? (like in uk).  Or changing what stock they hold?

But if what Phil says "rumour has it the Feriteria on A have bouught it"  that wouldn't be a bad thing? Would it? 
 

It´s not just the Brico on Camposol that is closing but the whole company.

But on a positive note for Camposol Sector B Commercial...

A M&S Outlet is opening in a section of Quicksave

A electrical shop is opening in the old Z bed unit

The back room of Kennellys bar is going to be a Sports Clothing Shop

And the owners of the Ferrits on A are looking into the possiblity of moving to the Brico unit.... nothing finalised.

The Brico store in Los Dolses centre is also closing down.

The M&S Outlet is going to be small - it will be situated within part of the existing Quicksave unit...utilising space !!!

The notice says Per Una, Seconds, Returns...

Should be open in 2 weeks.

Does it say when they are closing down?  We are coming over in a few weeks and wanted to get a few bits from there?

 No it does'nt give a closing date but most of the stock has been given a 15 to 30% discount-- so well worth a visit !

just returned from condado commenced with furnishing a penthouse. the Brico closing down is true the whole chain of stores closes in One month from the 19th of Feb this is what i was told by a spanish guy in the shop.

The word has got round and the Spanish from all over are scrambling for bargains.

we were luky to pick up a couple of bargains but even with as much as 50% off some items the china man is still considerably cheaper for your nic nacks bulbs and the like. (brico smoke alarm 61 Euros)

We did however bag a step ladder for 20 Euros and a shower screen for 20 euros a couple of external lights for 10 each.

big cues so go early and have a bit of compasion if the service is not great as they are loosing their jobs.

Oh noo they will be closed before we get there,  we arn't going out until 22nd.

If anyone is wanting to sell of a single or a pair of sunloungers please im me.  We could pick them up and pay for them on 23rd.

Hi,  yeh they are far too expensive,  had a look at those last time i was there.  I saw a plain white plastic one in Brico for 35 Euros last time,  wished I'd got that one then.

Why not go to Carefour in Cartagena on the way from the airport. It's only a small detour and the choice and price is quite good.

If you meant AC units at Carefour then I'm not sure. From memory, they seem to do everything but I was only looking for certain things at the time. They have got a pretty good web site and this should give you a good indication of what they sell.
