Permanent residents on Cda?

Hi all,

My partner and I are thinking of moving to Cda with our 1year old daughter to live in our apartment. Just wondering if anyone knows the approximate number of permanent residents currently living on Condado. Especially any with young families.

Hi Claire,

Sounds like a good idea.....would love to move over ourselves but thought it would be a bit too quiet and a bit lonely in the winter months so would be interested in knowing how many permanent residents are there at the moment and what it is like living on Cda all year round.  Hope you get some good info in your replies.  Good luck if you decide to make the move.

I think it is under 350 which across 3,500 properties isn't too many. I dont know where I get that figure from but as soon as I saw your query thats the figure that came to mind and on reflection is what I think came up in various discussions on the threads about why PW can't expand to further shops, bars and restaurants. I also think that figure may not be 12 month permanent residents as some people may do 'long stay' and so generally there could be quite a good number fewer. However a permananet resident may have something more accurate to add. I know that sometimes inoff season it would be hard to believe that there are even that many permanent resients but provided you get involved, learn Spanish and drive and make links with residents you may not find it a problem anyway.

 Tony has made some good points in his last post, he is right us permanent residants are a bit thin on the ground, but there is a good community spirit here, and you will always find someone to give you a helping hand  or advise in times of trouble

We have been here for 6 months now, and it must be said--- we do not miss the UK.

Try it out for a month, there are plenty of apts. for rent, it is a stunning place to live!
