To the moronic few who continue to dump their household rubbish in the waste bins around our beautiful gardens adjacent to Limonero and Peral.............., DON'T DO IT!! Who the hell do you think empties these bins? Don't bring your filthy council house habits to our community, take the rubbish to the bins provided. They are emptied every day so there is no excuse!
I would imagine that the culprits are renters, but whoever you are, don't come back!
Finally, to the person who chose to dump what appeared to be 3 sections of some kind of trellis behind one of the bench seats in the gardens, please make yourself known so I can insert said articles in your rear .

Shirley, I think we are talking about the same rubbish. Thank you for your offer but I have already moved the items to the bin area.

Strewth - Whilst in San Cayetano last week I did notice a few people putting rubbish into the bins around the landscape gardens - they were certainly not people who were renting. In fact one was my neighbour who lives there! Can I ask why do we have to empty these bins anyway? Are we not paying council tax to cover this?
Pride in San Cayetano is something I feel very strongly about even though I do not live there all year round. At the moment I have a bigger problem to address with Taray such as the very large unsightly cracks appearing in the front of some of our properties facing the landscape gardens. Having had a structural report prepared it proves these cracks are structural but Taray do not want to do anything about this problem. Can you imagine what the complex will look like in a few years if the ten-year guarantee we all have with Taray is not honoured! Your views on this aspect of keeping Hacienda San Cayetano looking lovely would be greatly appreciated.

Pinot, the bins are a bone of contention as we are paying our "council tax" but receiving no services from the council because the urb hasn't been handed over yet. More red tape, I'm reliably informed. When people get their arses in gear we are supposed to have the gardens tended and the streets cleaned. I just hate to see the mess so I empty the bins periodically.
With regard to structual problems, you need to speak to your President and ask him/her to take it up with Taray. Good luck.
Strewth.

Strewth - we are well advanced on speaking to our President. We have had meetings with a Director of Taray and, despite our structural report, they are trying to say they are not structural cracks! Will now have to think of the next step which will be to speak to our solicitors. Two quads are involved in this dispute so far so thanks for the good luck message.
As you say they are full of red tape in Spain but not when it comes to collecting our money!!

Just a quick note to say some people seem to be having difficulty with the waste bins on site and with what to put in them as this morning we found someone had put open bags of general rubbish in the bin meant for recycled cardboard.
The yellow wheeled bin is for recyclable plastic
The grey wheeled bin is for general rubbish (bags sealed please)
The domed green bin is for glass
The light grey square bin is for recyclable cardboard.
Sorry if you already know this but it is obvious that some people do not!!!!!!!!

Whilst we were out in San Cayetano a few weeks ago we noticed people are dumping cut down trees and garden rubbish at the side of the bins at the bottom of Melocotonero. The stayed there all the time we were staying there. Do the council take these away? I wouldn't have thought so. What are people thinking when they dump their rubbish like this, have they no pride in where they live.

Christine

The tree cuttings are still there, in fact I pushed them nearer to the bins the other day as it was starting to get onto the main road into the urbinization.
There is no street cleaning or tidying up of the gardens at the moment as it is not fully adopted by the council, so no, I doubt the dustmen will take it as its just lying there, if it was cut up and put in the bin thats a different matter. Needs to be chucked over whoever put it there in the first places fence.
Think the council are taking over in June, didnt say what year tho, lol. Makes you wonder what I have already paid 2 years council tax bill for, the gardens are in hell of a mess now with overgrown weeds.
