Hi,
has anyone from the Jardines or Los Noranjos visited or used the pools on La Isla yet? Heard they have got a gym area? Can we use our new pass to gain access to use these facilities?
As far as I know this is part of our resort!! Or is it exclusively for the residents on La Isla?
Francis.

It's just for the residents of la Isla, we can't get access to their resort. Shame really, they have some great facilities!

They pay for their facilities so I suppose it's fair enough they get to use them.
.If it makes you feel better they can't use our pools!!
I'm unsure if they pay toward things like maintenance of the football pitches or whether this is a shared facility with them.
Wonder what will happen when the sports zone reopens. I would expect it would be for jardines/naranjos residents (even though it would have a fee). Certainly wouldn't expect it to be aimed at general public considering where it is based.

the sports zone is totally different
it is not being financed by the residents and is private property
of course any one will be able to use it .
they did before so why not now.
you dont have to live on here to gain entry to play golf so the same applys to the sports zone

I don't see the golf course and the sports zone as even being remotely similar. One was built as a world class facility with the hope of staging international tournaments and the other is a bar with tennis courts which was initially built for residents.
My point is that its in the middle of two gardens...I don't even know if there is any parking designated for it.
Its one thing having people enter the resort to go tot he pub at Al Kasar, its totally different when its in the middle of peoples apartments.
I have no qualms about CdA residents using any resources....I do about the general public

The sports zone should be for all residents of Condado as should any facilities on La Isla. I bought on Condado so I could have access & use to all the facilities on our resort. I'm sure they have used the pools on Jardines / Los Noranjos!!
Are we saying that La Isla residents have their own resort now? Do they pay for their own security & maintenance of pools etc.

Francis,
Beats me why you started this thread. You have a lovely apartment overlooking the pool, and I'm at a loss as to why you or your renters would want to use any facilities on La Isla.
You say that you're sure that La Isla residents have used the pools on Naranjos and Jardins - are you?

With regards to the sports zone im pretty sure the people who are working at the moment to get it open will glady accept anyones money.Whether from Condado, La isla or anywhere else. I wish them all the best with there venture. Before people came in from outside and used the faciliies at the sports area as im pretty sure there used to be employees from El Pozo playing paddle tennis there regular in the past. There would be no problem in people from la isla coming into Condado going to the Clover and then walking round to the sports zone so dont see there being any difficulty. As far as the pools are concerned the same would apply come in from la isla and use any pool. Once you are past the security gate no-oe follows you arround to see where you are going doesnt make sense to me.

Hi all, We are residents of La Isla. When we bought our apartments on La Isla we paid a premium for the exclusitivity. We have full access and use of all the facilities that Condado has to offer. Once we have signed in with La Isla's security we can drive and walk through to the main Condado resort the same as any other resident. I for one would not dream of using someone else's pool as I would respect the privacy of the Jardins etc. It would be like jumping into a neighbours pool or garden, in the uk, uninvited Our family has stayed in a jardin's apartment whilst finailising our own apartment and as part of our 'holiday' used it's pool, I'm sure many other Islanders have also rented whilst completing on their apartments, could this be where some people may be now recognised as having used your pools? We like to come over to the main Condado resort, not only to use the Clover, restaurant, and shop etc but also for walks, cycling and jogging. Condado residents who do not live on La Isla are welcome to enter our part of the resort, and use our facilities, as an invited guest of one of La Isla residents. Unfortunately La Isla is pretty quiet, we come over regularly and sometimes there are only half a dozen cars parked there. It will take a while for La Isla to really start to flourish, then maybe, with more residents new friendships will be made between all the Condado residents. I for one did not buy onto Condado for it to become an 'us and them' scenario, as a family we prefer a quieter holiday and we chose to buy on La Isla as we were unsure as to how 'busy' the main resort would become, certainly not to alienate anyone.

La Isla pay for their facilities so they can use them and invite who they want....no issue.
The issue I have is that the rest of us pay for security and maintenance for our areas. I understand golfers can come and use the course and since Oasis is dead then others can come and use Al Kasar as its the only shops. But I am not as comfortable with an open door policy for a facility right in the middle of the jardines.

I don't really care who uses whos pools!!!
I started this thread just to ask if La Isla was accessible to all Condado residents. Some gardens don't have pools on them, so they should be free to use all Communal pool whether on La Isla or Jardines / Los Noranjos or between the penthouses.
I don't think there is anything wrong with going over to La Isla for a change of scenary as it's part of Condado de Alhama.

Francis,
Although you may not think there is anything worng with going to La Isla. You are not allowed, they pay more for exclusivity and the security should not let you in, unless you are invited by a resident.
SMV - I have no issues with people from outside using the sports zone( If it ever opens), I doubt it could survive from reisdents trade alone.

Hi fmcauley,
The short answer is no, only La Isla owners and their invited guests have access to the island. They paid a premium on the purchase price compared to the equivalent Penthouses on Naranjos for the restricted access. They also pay higher community fees to pay for their own security and facilities as well as contributing to the general costs and security of the main resort.
I personally don't see the attraction of travelling miles from my own apartment to use a pool where I can't nip into my apartment for a drink or a bite to eat or even use the toilet!

The residents and guests for La Isla are welcome on our resort as far as I am concerned this will increase trade to support the business that exist in our resort.
I for one have no interest in going accross to La Isla and like Darren has already stated in his unique way - what would be the point?

Darren, do you know if there are designated parking spaces for the sports zone, as I can't see people parking at Al Kasar and walking down? If there is that would be one issue taken care of.
I agree we may need outside numbers to keep the facility going but my personal opinion is that it would be better if the facility and the surrounding area wasn't a general access area. But I can see the business need does run contrary to this.
Here's hoping it all goes smoothly and its a success.
On La Isla....they pay more and get a little more for that. Thats why they bought there.

There is a mini security gate at the back of the sports zone, maybe people could park there and walk through? Although then you have the added cost of manning another gate?
Cant see that many out of town folk visiting the place.
This could all be a mute point as the place isnt yet open?
